Chapter 7 - Mental 7- Near Death Battle

With the last vestiges of his strength, Liu Gao managed to send a desperate signal to WanlingXin H.Q. A subordinate on the other end received the faint transmission and immediately relayed the information to Commander Wang Siquan.

The commander, his composure unwavering despite the dire situation, assured the barely conscious Liu Gao that a team was already en route to their location, tasked with subduing the overwhelming threat. A wave of relief washed over Liu Gao, though a deep sense of helplessness still lingered in his weary eyes.

Meanwhile, I struggled to pull myself up from the ruined ground, each attempt sending jolts of pain through my shattered body and forcing a fresh gout of blood from my lips.

The towering bat-like titan, a creature ripped straight from the darkest nightmares, opened its cavernous maw, unleashing a swarm of smaller, ravenous bat creatures that descended upon Liu Gao and me like a living shadow.

Just as the screeching horde closed in, a welcome sight pierced the darkness: Commander Wang Siquan and his team arrived, moving with swift efficiency to extract Liu Gao and me to a more secure, albeit temporary, hiding spot.

Barely clinging to consciousness, Liu Gao turned his head towards the commander, his voice a weak rasp as he pleaded for a plan. Commander Siquan, his resolve unyielding, immediately barked orders. His team swiftly formed the intricate Buddha Formation, their movements precise and practiced as they began channeling their collective Chi into a massive sphere of raw energy, their target the relentless bat swarm.

The technique reached its crescendo, and the resulting explosion ripped through the air, decimating the majority of the creatures. As the smoke began to clear, the battlefield revealed a grim tableau: countless bats lay lifeless or fatally wounded, but a few tenacious survivors still flapped through the smoke, their screeches echoing in defiance.

However, the true terror still loomed large. The titan remained unscathed, its glowing crimson eyes now burning with an incandescent rage. With terrifying speed, it lunged at the assembled warriors, its massive claws tearing through the air, shredding one of Siquan's men to a gruesome end mid-air.

The remaining fighters, their faces etched with horror, quickly rallied, initiating a grand, complex ritual to concentrate their collective Chi into a single, devastating strike, their only hope against the monstrous foe.

Siquan, his face grim, sensed the urgent need for more power and called for reinforcements, his voice tight with desperation.

The ensuing five minutes stretched into an agonizing eternity as the remaining bats, their numbers dwindling but their ferocity undiminished, tore through the hastily formed defensive formation, leaving more of Siquan's brave men dead or gravely wounded.

The commander, his rage and desperation reaching a boiling point, conjured a powerful blast of pure Chi and hurled it at the titan. The impact was colossal, shaking the very ground, yet it only seemed to fuel the creature's monstrous fury. The titan, its eyes fixed on Siquan, dove towards him with deadly precision—only for Liu Gao to intervene at the last possible moment. Summoning a simple bo staff seemingly from nowhere, he struck the diving beast with immense, focused force, sending it crashing into its own remaining minions.

Without hesitation, the commander and Liu Gao, their movements now a desperate dance of survival, summoned a colossal serpent, its scales shimmering with raw power, commanding it to attack the enraged titan. The two behemoths clashed, their earth-shattering battle shaking the very foundation of the ravaged land.

Below them, the remaining warriors fought their own desperate skirmishes, eliminating the last of the bat creatures before turning their collective focus towards aiding the embattled serpent.

The titan roared its fury, a sound that ripped through the air, and the colossal serpent responded in kind, its own bellow shaking the crumbling landscape.

Their titanic struggle left devastation in its wake—mountains crumbled, the terrain shattered, and chaos reigned supreme across the battlefield. The titan bat, its movements surprisingly agile for its size, pounced relentlessly, slamming its massive body into the serpent over and over until the great snake lay motionless, its life force seemingly extinguished.

With terrifying force, the titan seized the serpent's throat in its massive jaws, hoisted the limp body into the air, and delivered a final, brutal bite—severing its head in a gruesome display of dominance.

Despite our battered bodies and the grim spectacle before us, our spirits remained unbroken.

Liu Gao and I rose once more, drawing upon the last dregs of our remaining power. With a shared, unspoken understanding, we etched a massive summoning circle into the blood-soaked ground, the glowing lines pulsing with arcane energy.

From its radiant depths emerged a magnificent dragon—a being of both shimmering light and profound darkness, its eyes ancient and wise. With a single, earth-shaking headbutt, it sent the victorious titan reeling backward.

The monstrous bat retaliated with its razor-sharp claws, seizing the dragon and dragging it across the jagged mountain range, leveling the already devastated landscape in its wake.

The dragon, refusing to succumb to the brute force, feigned defeat for a crucial moment before whipping its powerful tail forward, sending the titan hurtling through the air.

The surviving warriors, their faces a mixture of awe and renewed hope, began to chant our names—Mikimo and Liu Gao—their collective energy, a tangible force of will, surging into our weary bodies. Empowered by their unwavering faith, we commanded the dragon to strike again.

The magnificent beast coiled its immense body around the struggling titan, constricting with terrifying force before unleashing a blinding surge of pure energy from its maw.

The titan shrieked in unimaginable agony as its face disintegrated under the intense assault, yet it still resisted, its primal will refusing to yield.

With one final, decisive move, the dragon hurled the charred and broken titan skyward and unleashed a catastrophic energy blast directly into its chest. The titan let out a final, harrowing scream that echoed across the ravaged land before its lifeless body crashed back to the earth below with a thunderous impact.

A profound silence fell across the battlefield for a fleeting moment before erupting into triumphant cheers that echoed through the night. Liu Gao and I, our bodies pushed beyond their limits, finally collapsed from sheer exhaustion as the magnificent dragon faded back into the glowing depths of the summoning circle.

In the immediate aftermath, Commander Wang Siquan, his face etched with a mixture of relief and respect, oversaw our extraction to his heavily fortified facility, ensuring our immediate safety and survival.

A medical assistant, his eyes wide with astonishment as he monitored our vitals, informed the commander that our accelerated healing was nothing short of miraculous, estimating a full recovery in just two weeks.

A rare smile touched Commander Siquan's lips, his respect for our resilience and power growing exponentially.

With a curt nod to his astonished assistant, he quietly exited the medical bay, leaving Liu Gao and me to our well-earned, if temporary, rest.
