Chapter 18 - Suwon king (Part~2)

The aftermath of Ha-Joon's rampage had left Suwon in a stunned silence, as he wrecked havoc. The underworld buzzed with rumors about the monster that had appeared out of nowhere.

"It is only a matter of time before the King responds" Whispered Ha-Joon while holding the cigarate in between his fingers.

He stood atop an abandoned construction site overlooking Suwon's sprawling streets. His mind drifted at the recent brawls, where he seamlessly switched with different threshold, yet couldn't integrate different threshold in a single strike.

I need tough opponent to breakthrough, But I don't quiet think Seokdu can give me challenge. Let's just hope he is stronger than a manhwa had described thought Ha-Joon as he stood motionless atop the building.

As minute turned into hour, Ha-Joon had began to lose his composure. He had specifically chosen the construction site, as it would be easy for the King's lackey to locate and clash with him, yet they hadn't appeared since morning.

Night fall.

Just as he was getting irritated, different sound began to ripple down the site. Ha-Joon slowly narrowed his eyes as he scanned the incoming silhouette.

A convoy of motorcycles and black sedans approached the site. Flashlights turned on around the site, making the construction site visible with naked eyes.

Ha-Joon swiftly moved down the site to greet the Suwon king. But just as he approached them.

Dozens of gang members in matching jackets poured in, encircling him like wolves. Yet Ha-Joon remained still, not even glancing at the small fries.

He glanced at the the middle car which was polished in black waiting for the king.

The door slowly swung opened, Seokdu Wang came out before glancing at Ha-Joon.

Clad in a custom-tailored blue coat, with a giant built, and his forehead fully covered in scars, the proof of his ability to use the forehead during battles. He walked calmly through the crowd, before stopping ten meters from Ha-Joon.

"You're the punk causing all this ruckus in my territory?" he growled, voice low yet filled with rage.

Ha-Joon cracked his neck: "I just want to get your attention."

Seokdu scoffed: "Congratulation boy, You got it."

The moment he spoke, the circle closed in, but Ha-Joon didn't wait. He surged forward, before crashing his fists into the first man. Instantly, he pivoted, spinning low and sweeping another from his feet.

He ducked the incoming pipe swing, and countered with an upward elbow.

He fired a flurry of Taekwondo kicks from tight angles. Kyoukushin punches landed with a gun like sound. And Capoeira spins flowed into brutal takedowns.

Ha-Joon's masteries of endurance and explosive strength let him keep going without slowing down.

Just as he was about to lunged forward towards Seokdu Wang, one of the thug came rushing in. Ha-Joon instantly changed his posture in a fluid motion and exploded with a devastating Taekwondo roundhouse, snapping the man's arm, followed by Kyoukushin elbow, shattering his collarbone.

As the battle raged on, steel pipes clanged, chains lashed. Yet Ha-Joon ducked, weaved, countered with ease. His explosive speed mastery turned him into a blur. Endurance mastery let him take hits without flinching.

One by one, they fell.

Yet, Seokdu Wang didn't move.

Until Ha-Joon stood among a field of broken bodies.

Only then did the King step forward.

Ha-Joon spoke before glancing at him: "Why didn't you attack me earlier. Are you underestimating me or.... is it confidence."

Seokdu paused briefly and grinned: "I alone can handle a brat like you."

(A/N: Wait before ya'll complain about it. Let me explain. Look even if Ha-Joon had shown different masteries in the earlier fight. Seokdu will not attack Ha-Joon because he believes in his strength and is also crazy about fighting, shown in manhwa. And kings are extremely confident in their strength which sometime tends them to make a rash decision. Of course, there are exception even amongst the kings. I hope you understand.)

Without missing a beat, He charged at Ha-Joon. Slamming his forehead into Ha-Joon's shoulder like a bulldozer. The sheer impact sent a shockwave through his bones. Ha-Joon rolled back, eyes narrowing: "Are your forehead made of steel."

Seokdu Wang grinned, practically ignoring his word. Blood trickle from his hairline as he spoke: "You're still standing? Good."

Then he lunged towards Ha-Joon again with his forehead.

Ha-Joon dodged left, planted a fist into Seokdu's ribs, but the man didn't flinch. He used strength mastery like a blunt object, just overwhelming force.

They clashed again, Seokdu lunging headfirst, Ha-Joon countering with precise strikes. The ground cracked beneath them as they collided.

Seokdu's fighting style was absurd yet terrifying. He didn't block and didn't even evade. He simply charged, absorbing blows to get close enough to use his skull.

Ha-Joon slowly got the rhythm of Seokdu's fighting style and began to adjust.

He feinted with Capoeira, slid into a low kick, and pivoted to avoid the incoming forehead. He began dissecting Seokdu's rhythm. His own endurance mastery allowed him to tank some hits, but he couldn't match the King's raw force head-on yet.

And for such force, he needed to push his endurance threshold from the initial to mid level which is currently impossible for him at the moment.

As their fight raged on, Ha-Joon body began to tremble from the sheer excitement, yet he still remained rational and began to use different technique rather than being volatile.

He baited Seokdu into lunging again, this time sidestepping and countering with a spinning back kick that drove into the Seokdu's ribs.

Seokdu staggered briefly for a moment and once again charged at Ha-Joon.

They clashed again spattering their blood across the floor.

Ha-Joon ducked, rolled, switched stance, transitioned between styles mid-combat. A Kyoukushin punch with a Taekwondo double kick followed by capoeira flips into the sweeps.

Bang

Finally, after a relentless barrage, he landed a clean strike to Seokdu's temple, right before the man could lower his head.

The King dropped to one knee.

Ha-Joon stood above him, blood dripping from his lip, panting slightly.

Seokdu Wang blinked slowly, then laughed: "Damn, Looks like you win."

Having said that, he finally collapsed due to previous strike.

And Ha-Joon, standing amidst the ruins, lifted his head to the sky and sighed: "Ahh.. The thrill of battle. Amazing."

During his earlier days, he would fight for his goal and would never enjoy the true thrill of battle. But as day went by, He had began to feel the thrill of battle and had begun using more raw power in his technique without him noticing which had began to align more towards future Gun.

Maybe its within his blood to be more violent or maybe not. But one thing was sure, he will surely become a complete menace in the coming days.

(To be continued...)

.....

(I had watched different fights throughout the manhwa, but watching gun fight is extremely satisfying, which I plan to add in Ha-Joon. So, He will be complete lunatic like Gun in fighting yet with James lee refined technique in the future. Practically a combination. Just thinking makes me excited. Haha)
