"Are you really that stupid?!"
Those words echoed throughout the table, silence fell for a moment.
Helga's gaze fell upon her, confused and taken by surprise by the sudden interaction she asked
"What do you mean?" an innocent attempt to understand what she did wrong.
Glaring at her with an annoyed look, her green eyes felt colder than before, she answered back.
"Do you really think we have a chance against that monster? No, we don't. Not a chance, our only hope is that the man was faking all of this. But that's not even possible! I recognize that man he works for the guild. So just shut up I don't want to hear useless stuff anymore"
With that she tossed aside her blond hair from her face, letting her head rest on the table again she sighed.
Helga made her mind, it was futile to continue asking; no one knew much.
Watching the three of them she sighed and got up, thanking them she left.

Resting her back on a tree, Helga was reminiscing about what she had discovered and was searching for a way to win against a far stronger monster, even though it won't be easy since there is no information about the monster's abilities.
'Is there really nothing we can do? No, that's impossible, there must be a way. Probably many adventures already gave up… but I hope that many others haven't'
'Well, no one said that I have to beat that goblin fairly'
Rising to her feet she spent a moment watching the village, looking ahead she saw some small shops, a happy family saying goodbye to each other before departing for their daily duties.
Then she raised her eyes, there were some clouds, not too many to cover the sky, it was indeed a beautiful day.
Helga smiled without realizing, that's what she wanted to protect after all.
After staying for an hour or so on that tree, she decided to go back to the guild.
She wasn't far, and the village wasn't that big, so she arrived in no time. Upon arriving, Helga noticed something strange, a large group of soldiers were gathered together while watching a man standing on top of a table.
Watching the expressions of the adventurers next to her she realized something, many were scared, some tried to hide it but couldn't do well, while there were others who didn't even hide that.
But the man on top of the table was different, everything in him, from his blue eyes, his black hair to the smug he had, this man was giving a sense of pride and self-esteem
'Is he gonna give a speech? I guess that I'm in time'
Staying close to the entrance she watched and waited for the man to start his speech.
Closing his eyes for a brief second he took that moment to inhale. Then he opened his eyes, determination was evident.
"As we all know, Simon's Goblin was spotted, the location is within 1 day of traveling through the Goblins Grove. For now Simon's Goblin is distant from this village, but we can't fall for the idea that this is an enemy we just have to avoid…" his speech was interrupted by someone in the crowd.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? THEN WHAT WE SHOULD DO IF NOT AVOIDING IT" a young soldier shouted.
"sooner or later the Simon's Goblin will eventually come to destroy this and the nearby villages" responded with hidden anger deep in his voice.
But it hasn't stopped, taking another view of the adventurers that were listening, he opened his mouth again.
"IF WE DON'T DO ANYTHING SIMON'S GOBLIN WILL EVENTUALLY COME HERE AND DESTROY EVERYTHING, IS THAT REALLY WHAT WE WANT? DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT GOBLIN TO KILL ALL OF THE PEOPLE HERE? DO YOU REALLY WANT YOUR HOUSES BEING DESTROYED?"
After those words everyone shut, watching the man with widened eyes, imagining the brutality of what will happen if.
But that man wasn't done.
Using more emotions this time he continued.
"This time we don't have anyone as strong as Simon with us" gritting his teeth in anger.
"But that doesn't matter, we don't have a choice, we must stop Simon's Goblin at all costs. I have friends and a family that I care for from the bottom of my heart. I'm sure even you have people you care too, AND I'LL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER IN ORDER TO KILL THAT BASTARD FOR THE SAKE OF THEM. SO WHO IS WITH ME?!"
For a small second no one dared to talk, everyone was stunned by the words of this man. Then, inspired, many shouted as hard as they could.
Even Helga was stunned. Watching the commotion from a shortl distance she thought of something.
'it seems like I'm not alone in this suicide mission' with a grin spread over her face, there was still hope.

A day passed and now it was the time for the adventurers to depart.
A giant crowd was formed at the entrance of the village. Many were going to partake in those missions, instead, others were bidding a final farewell and wishing them good luck.
Helga was there too. Of course she had no one to say goodbye, so she was just watching the others.
She saw the three adventurers who answered her questions about Simon's Goblin yesterday.
The blond haired girl was talking to the other two.
While not being far from them, Helga could hear what they were saying.
"So… you two are really going?" not daring to watch them in their faces, or else her red eyes could've been more visible. Yesterday after talking to each other the two of them decided to participate, but she didn't want to, she couldn't force herself to.
She indeed cried a lot.
Instead of responding, the older man just placed his hand on her head. Smiling at her, a saddened smile indeed.
Not expecting that, her body jolted. A single tear fell from her eyes, or maybe there were more, but instead of letting them see that she went closer and hugged them.
That moment made Helga smile, a compassionate smile formed while watching a scene that could be described as a probably last farewell from close companions to each other.
Closing her eyes she understood. That's why she is doing this, that's why she is willing to go against an enemy that her current self could never kill.
Seeing people this sad wasn't something she liked, she prefers to see them living a happy life.
This desire really value her life? Who knows, but one thing is certain, she is going to do everything in her power to kill Simon's Goblin.
With that, her and the other volunteers' mission started.
