"Let's talk somewhere else, Rhodes."
Killian chuckled and used a weak hand to stroke Rhodes's head just like how he did in their dream walks. However, his hand felt the soft strands of hair between his fingers. His thumb even rubbed at some of them without getting his palm off Rhodes's head. His lips curled into a bigger smile.
"Sure, sure…" Rhodes chuckled, pretending not to feel what Killian did. His eyes were still on the side, and his steps matched Killian's slow pace. He cleared his throat and asked, "Where should we go? We'll get to the park by tomorrow morning."
Killian laughed and rubbed Rhodes's head. "You're still mean. We can talk in the garden pavilion instead. Everyone avoids confrontation when faced with Granny's flowers."
