A familiar car pulled up at the crowded parking lot of New Pearson Medical Center. The night sky cast a dark blanket over the whole city. Giles alighted from his car, his eyes stuck on the barricaded hospital areas. Just this morning, the west wing burned to a crisp. All floors suffered major damage. They were only lucky that the explosions were at a minimum.
The manager walked to the other side and opened the car door for his wife. Deresita prioritized calming Frieda earlier. She hasn't come to see Rhodes yet. Since Giles went to fetch them, she asked Frieda to stay with a friend that night. They would have to check up on Rhodes.
However, the winds blowing on the entire capital felt ominous to Deresita. It was as if something was warning her not to proceed.
