Konoha Village.
Might Guy, Asuma Sarutobi, and the others gathered at Kakashi Hatake's house. Kakashi lay weakly on the bed, his face pale.
"From what you're saying, they came for Naruto, but this time they were scared away by Lord Jiraiya," Guy analyzed.
"But doesn't this seem odd?" Asuma questioned. "Naruto should've been captured by the time they came to the village. Itachi knows exactly what Naruto looks like."
"Hush!" Guy suddenly signaled for silence.
"Kakashi!" Sasuke Uchiha entered the room, frowning. "Why are you lying in bed? And why are all the sensei gathered here?"
"What's going on?" Sasuke asked, his brows furrowed.
"Nothing, nothing at all," Guy quickly replied.
"Kakashi! I heard that Itachi is back! Is it true?!" Suddenly, a loud and somewhat annoying voice came from outside as Aoba Yamashiro barged in. "And I heard he's looking for Naruto!"
"…"
Guy covered his face with his hands, while Kurenai Yuhi let out a sigh, closing her eyes helplessly. "Idiot."
Sasuke's eyes widened as he slowly turned towards Aoba, his expression darkening. His Sharingan flared to life as rage overtook him.
Bang! Sasuke knocked Aoba aside and bolted out of the house.
"Bastard! That guy actually came to Konoha! And his target is Naruto!" Sasuke thought as he sprinted toward Naruto's house. "If that guy captures him… Naruto will—"
Suddenly, memories flashed through Sasuke's mind.
"Leaf Hurricane! Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist!"
Shukaku's crazed laugh echoed.
"If he gets caught… Naruto will—"
"We are the same!" A massive red chakra filled the sky.
Sasuke's eyes twitched as he slowed down slightly. "…It seems like he won't get caught that easily."
"Huh?!" Sasuke suddenly shook his head. "No! I need to focus on my revenge!"
Determined, he picked up his pace and continued toward Naruto's house.
Meanwhile, Naruto…
"Achoo!" Naruto sneezed. "Someone thinking about me? Hehe, must be Izumi."
"Hey, Naruto! Let's go! The next station town is coming up!" Jiraiya called out from ahead. "Hahaha, ladies in revealing outfits, I'm coming to save you!"
"Coming!" Naruto sighed, feeling slightly helpless. "Sometimes being a minor sucks… but the Transformation Jutsu sure comes in handy! Hehehe."
At Naruto's house, Sasuke knocked urgently.
Izumi Uchiha opened the door. "Sasuke? Do you need something?"
"Sister Izumi, is Naruto home?" Sasuke asked hurriedly.
"Oh, Naruto? He left with Lord Jiraiya for some kind of 'research trip.' Something about checking out nearby inns. Really, Lord Jiraiya… is that the kind of place Naruto should be going to?" Izumi muttered angrily.
"Tch—Miss Izumi, I have to go!" Sasuke turned and ran off.
Izumi blinked. "What's with these two? Am I really that scary?"
On the Road
"Ohhh!" Naruto exclaimed as he looked at the bustling town. "It's like going to a festival!"
For someone who had rarely left Konoha, the sight of the lively streets was exciting.
"Oi, Pervy Sage, look at that guy over there! He's begging with a rope tied around him," Naruto pointed out.
Jiraiya's face darkened. "Are you not afraid of bad luck?! And how did you even notice that? I misjudged you, man."
Naruto: "…!"
They arrived at an inn, and Jiraiya tossed Naruto a key. "Naruto, we're staying here tonight."
"Finally! Man, I'm exhausted." Naruto stretched before heading inside.
Just then, a stunning woman passed by, casting a seductive smile at Jiraiya and Naruto.
"Oh ho ho ho! A lovely lady in distress!" Jiraiya's eyes sparkled as he instantly entered pig mode.
"Where do you think you're going?!" he shouted, dashing after her.
"Huh? Two high-pitched perverts," Naruto deadpanned, watching the scene unfold.
Click! Jiraiya shoved a key into Naruto's hand. "This is your room key. I'm off. If you follow me, I'll tell Izumi."
Naruto: "…MMP."
Meanwhile, Sasuke arrived at the town and hurriedly scanned the area.
"This is the place! But where's Naruto?" he muttered before beginning his search.
"Hey, have you seen a blond idiot about my age, who looks like a dried fish, traveling with an old white-haired pervert?" Sasuke asked random people while looking for an inn.
At that moment, Naruto was lazily lying in bed.
KNOCK KNOCK.
"Tch, coming, coming!" Naruto grumbled as he opened the door.
"Yo, Itachi! Long time no see!" Naruto greeted with a grin.
"Yo," Kisame Hoshigaki smirked, stepping forward. "Didn't expect you to be the one who sealed the Nine-Tails."
"Yeah, well, the Nine-Tails is kinda overrated. I don't even want it. I'd sell it if I could," Naruto yawned.
"Well, we're here to take it off your hands." Kisame's grin widened as he swung Samehada straight at Naruto.
Poof! Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke.
"Nani?!" Kisame's eyes widened. "A Shadow Clone? When did he—?!"
Kisame swung his sword again, but Naruto effortlessly dodged and landed on Samehada.
"Now, now, let's not get violent. We can always talk things out, right?" Naruto smirked.
Kisame and Itachi stared at him.
"Itachi-san, I wanna kill him," Kisame muttered.
"I feel the same," Itachi responded flatly.
"Our mission is to take him alive and complete the Nine-Tails sealing." Itachi's voice remained emotionless.
At that moment, Sasuke burst onto the scene, his Sharingan activated.
"Itachi…!" he snarled.
"Oh, hey Sasuke!" Naruto greeted casually.
Kisame glanced at Sasuke. "Itachi-san, he looks a lot like you. Who is he?"
"My little brother," Itachi replied blankly.
"UCHIHA ITACHI!" Sasuke screamed. "I'LL KILL YOU!!"
Sasuke lunged with Chidori, but Itachi effortlessly redirected it to the wall.
"Hmph!" Sasuke pulled back, attempting to break free from Itachi's grip. "Nani?! So much strength!"
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Sasuke unleashed flames down the hallway.
"Oi! Sasuke! Don't burn me too!" Naruto yelled.
"Water Style: Water Wall!" Kisame countered, blocking the flames.
"Impressive for his age," Kisame noted. "But nowhere near Itachi's level."
"Bastard!" Sasuke growled, preparing another attack.
Itachi's eyes changed. "Tsukuyomi."
Sasuke collapsed instantly.
Naruto sighed, glancing at him. "Still only two tomoe, huh?"
Just then, Kisame swung again—but thunk! A toad blocked Samehada.
Jiraiya appeared, holding the woman from before.
Naruto smirked. "Oh ho ho! Pervy Sage, were you trying to overpower her?!"
Jiraiya: "...Shut up!"
