"How come you're not good at anything?" Jun sighted. Taking a long breath, he inhaled deeply while giving a hysterical look at the supposedly only candidate who could outdo him in terms of powers.
Hatsuki wiped the clay from the board and collected it in a container. Her eyes lowered from shame and the dry clay on her hands dirtying the board even more. As Jun had said, why was she not good at anything?
It had been a few days since she started the assignment. They had tried to opt for the teapot but quickly gave up and instead tried making bowls, even that was a failure.
Teacher Yan assigned the next task, which was to prepare a large garden and look after a plant of their choice. Even in that, Hatsuki's plant had long died, leading them to failure once again.
"I am trying…" Her words trailed off. Disappointed in herself. Why couldn't she just learn right away like Jun? There was a life out there that she needed to save, yet she was so incapable.
