"You've been called by Mr. CEO. Could it be that you're the one causing trouble all this time?" Alexa asked, staring at Hanny, who was sitting at her desk.
Hanny's heart pounded fast. She looked at Alexa, trying to stay as calm as possible, and shook her head.
"Don't accuse me like that. Isn't today the day you're supposed to submit my presentation report to Mr. Alger?"
Alexa narrowed her eyes suspiciously before rolling them in annoyance. "I just hope you're not doing anything that harms the company."
Hanny remained silent, then stood up and left the marketing division.
She could only hope that Alger was calling her because of her work— or, even better, for a promotion so she could be on the same level as Lily.
After all, who wouldn't envy Lily's position? Being the CEO's right hand and a key figure in the company. Even though Lily was just a secretary, her work was meticulous and reliable.
"Is Mr. Alger inside, Ly?"
