Reaching Emma's house, I waited only ten minutes before a simply stunning beauty in a white coloured trouser suit appeared before me. To be honest, I was starting to feel a little uneasy about the fact that all the clothes Emma was wearing were white. Maybe she has a thing for that colour. Well, the end of the journey did not allow me to think about it. Parking the car on level three of the car park, I announced that we'd arrived.
-Why are we here? - Emma asked perplexed.
-Close your eyes and get ready. - With excitement in his eyes and the manners of a former magician said Rain took out of the air and handed Emma a blindfold to cover her eyes.
-Okay, well, just know that if I fall over because of this, you're in trouble. - Emma said with a sigh and hidden interest.
-There's literally just a couple of steps. - Said Ryan opening a portal in front of the girl and leading her by the hand into the mirror dimension.
Taking Emma inside I had to make a small effort to open a new portal leading to another place on the planet, but still in the mirror dimension. It's not that opening a portal to travel through this dimension is difficult, it's just that getting the exit to stay in the same space is inconvenient. Thankfully I had a lot of experience and there was no problem with this and the subsequent creation of a solid platform in the middle of the sea. Why was I in the middle of the sea? Oh it's simple, during my meetings with Emma I learnt about her preferences and love for the ocean. So I thought what better way to unleash my abilities than by having dinner in the deep sea surrounded by sea creatures. I chose the Egyptian red sea for the dive.
Since the mirror dimension is not much different from the real world and the water here will not allow me to put a physical object on myself, and I had not heard of any special spells for interacting with this world, the plan was not fulfilled. At least that's how it was initially. During my experiments with the new energy from the space stone I realised that I could control the mirror dimension quite well. Of course, I'm not quite up to the mind-blowing kaleidoscopic changes that the Ancient One and Kaecilius have made since becoming Dormam's servant, but that will come with experience. The main thing now is that my powers will safely allow me to create a ten by ten room with completely transparent walls in the depths of the sea.
By the time Emma and I went through the new portal I had already managed to organise everything and there was a table for two with a trolley, hidden under illusory charms with a lot of dishes of my own cooking.
-Now you can take off the blindfold. - Said Ryan stepping back from Emma and waiting for the reaction of the already quite excited girl.
-How?! -When she took off the bandage the girl was speechless for a moment and all she could manage was one word.
-Magic. - Satisfied with the effect, Pierce said.
-Are you kidding? Holograms? - Sceptically said the girl, then approached one of the walls and touched it and felt a soft rubber-like resistance.
-Magic. - Rain repeated his answer and then snapped his fingers and for the part of the room where Emma was, the gravity changed sharply forcing the girl to shriek and fly backwards into the soft wall.
-Are you a mutant? - Frost asked with hidden joy and relief after the return of normal gravity.
-That's why it's so hard for people living in a world with reanimated gods, aliens and a bunch of other abnormal stuff to believe in magic? What if they do? - Rain asked sceptically, and then he wrote the word magic in the air with his finger, leaving a trail of fire that lasted for ten seconds.
-Let's say I believed it, but why did you open up to me? - Still sceptical about Pierce's statement, Emma decided to find out the reasons for his actions. Especially given her fears, she was doubly curious.
-Let's sit down and have a drink first... you're not the only one who has to flaunt your abilities at every turn. - Pouring wine to the girl said Rain, and then put a magic shield in front of him to protect his face from the familiarity with expensive alcohol.
-You know?! - Emma asked with confusion and slight panic.
-I've had a complete defence against telepaths since birth, but you've come to appreciate that, because you've been trying to get inside my head for most of our conversation. - Pierce said with a condescending smile. -But even so I feel pretty good about the attempts, and I want to point out that you are a solid four in terms of strength, but in terms of skill you can only scrape together a three. - Rain said in a teacher's tone.
-That's why it's a C, and it doesn't matter now. You don't care? - The girl asked in an agitated voice.
-Should it? As I understand it, the main problem with communicating with those who know your secret is their constant doubts about which thoughts are real and which are false. I am immune to all these problems, and I also realise that your attempts to use force were more a habit than a constant and unceasing desire to get into my thoughts. I know a couple of masters with similar talents to you, and their mind scanning is purely subconscious. But if it's more convenient for you, I can suggest a half-measure. - Said Ryan holding out his hand to Emma.
-What do you want to do? - Looking at the hand in bewilderment asked the girl.
-Give me your hand and you'll find out. - Pierce said with a smile.
Taking Emma's hand, I created a special rune chain from the mentalistics section. My mind is protected from any interference from the outside, but if the desire to receive a channel of communication comes from within and is created by the user, then such magic for me becomes available. After activation, this rune chain turned into two illusory bracelets hanging over our hands.
-And what are these? You're answering... how? - Emma stammered halfway through, staring at Pierce.
-These bracelets will only last five hours, but for that time each of us will be able to feel each other's emotions. Now you and I have a severely reduced part of telepathy. - Raine replied with a smirk.
-So it's not just me, and you're having fun at my expense right now? - Emma asked in an angry voice with the most disgruntled look possible, but instead of the expected effect, she got a smile from Pierce.
-You're beautiful. - Said Ryan, receiving in return a portion of embarrassment from the girl who could hardly keep the mask. Emma realised from the emotion emitted by Ryan that he was deadly serious and that made his words sound more meaningful.
-Will you explain to me how you did all this? - Getting her emotions under control Emma tried to change the subject.
-М...
-If you say magic again, I'll hit you.
-Well, to make a long story short, with the help of the malleability of the mirror dimension, which is a complete copy of our world, I used the spatial energy extracted from the crystallised stone that originated at the creation of the universe to create such a room, distorting the space around it and getting the possibilities of the most authentic oceanarium. I remember you talking about the sea and diving. - With a smile looking at the maximum puff of bewilderment with a drop of contentment girl Rain could not again restrain a smile.
-А?
-Stop, dinner first. I'm not running away from you, so let's not wait for the food to spoil. - Said Rain then using the energy threads hidden by the illusion made the dishes fly out of the trolley onto the table. To Emma, it looked like the appearance of ready-to-eat food out of thin air, which made her even less sceptical about Pierce's statement. But the pleasure of such less than spectacular but still amazing displays of magic was outweighed by Raina's contentment, which was directly proportional to her emotions.
The dishes that appeared on the table were quickly destroyed by Emma, and I didn't even have time to realise whether her emotion was more pleasure at my masterpieces or a desire to pelt me with questions.
-What other secrets are you hiding Rain Pierce? - Emma asked me with her gaze fixed on me.
-Some of them, but some I can't tell you, at least not yet. But you can ask, and if I can, I'll answer your questions. - Pierce said in a calm voice.
-What can you do? - Emma asked with interest.
-Do you want to know about skills or abilities?
-Abilities.
-Well, you already know about magic, and it's quite versatile. I also have access to a slight metamorphism of the body, I can for example become a couple of tens of centimetres taller or lengthen and sharpen fingernails, I can lengthen a lot of things. - Smiling lewdly, Rain replied.
-And how did you become a mage? - Ignoring the final part of the answer asked Emma.
-I found a school and learnt.
-What school?
-Hogwarts. - Under Emma's upturned face, Piers said.
-You're joking! - Emma said reproachfully, catching Ryan's amusement at the answer.
-Okay, okay it's not Hogwarts, but do you read children's books? - Piers asked with interest.
-Your past books weren't bad, so I thought I'd take a look at your new work as well. - Frost replied embarrassed.
-And don't change the subject, what school? - Emma said indignantly.
-I'm sorry I can't tell you that, it's a secret. You may know that such a school exists, but the name or location of those who are not a mage is forbidden to tell. - Ryan replied.
The interrogation from Emma lasted a few more hours, the last of which we spent walking along the sea. By the middle of the walk the talking had died down and we just enjoyed the beautiful views. At the end of the walk I offered Emma a portal delivery to the door of the flat, to which I received a penetrating look that made me feel a little uncomfortable. Because of this, I had to describe how the portals worked. After the explanation I got such a look from her that it seemed to me that if I was ever going to propose to her, it would have to be a double ring, and ideally a couple of dozen such rings with a dowry of a couple of dozen trained mages. I wonder if she's more attracted to me now as a boyfriend or a VERY cheap mode of transport. But Emma's question prevented me from further indulging my not-so-happy thoughts.
-Will you come in?
Considering that the emotion connection would work for another two hours, I was just absorbed by the cocktail of anticipation, fear, and lust that hit me after the question.
Emma Frost - 1347.
I've never been shy and I'm certainly not a tightwad, but nearly three years of abstinence, a teenage body and emotions just pounding through my head only allowed me to quickly assess the heightened level of the relationship and noting that everything is voluntary to say yes.
-Yes!
The rest was like a delirium. Entering the flat, I couldn't stand the first and not letting Emma even close the door properly just on emotions melted the handle into the lock completely breaking it, but at that moment I didn't care much. My mind was consumed with the amazing sensation of kissing Emma's lips and exploring her body with my hands. We just couldn't get enough of each other, and all that could come out of her lips in the rare moment when we were short of breath.
-The bedroom's that way.
