When, after all the horror and delirium, I came across a monumental gateway that was in no way an entrance to an ordinary room, I swallowed. My imagination simply refused to imagine who could live there. But having gathered my courage and crossed myself (well, why? There is a god in Marvel I've seen) I opened the gate and almost let out a joyful female squeal at the sight of a dark forest covered with a dubious aura. After all I'd been through, the dead silence was soothing. You know, I think I'm the first and only person who has been psychologically traumatised by his own subconscious. A normal person shouldn't react like that to walking through a strange forest at night.

But there was that familiar howl again, and I headed in the direction of the enemy. Thinking of battle tactics was not going well, and apart from the flames, my arsenal had no weapons to fight my inner beast. I was distracted from my not so positive thoughts by a message that hung right in front of my face and almost made me get to know one of the trees better.

Player you are going to an important battle and every little thing can be decisive in its outcome. You've had a black body-protecting bd... ahem armoured suit in your inventory for a long time. So we decided to make an exception and for the sake of sto... compassion give you access to it. Yours sincerely, admins ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ.

P.S. After much advice, we have decided that you use our radio too infrequently, so from today we will personally be diluting your bland life with music. Don't thank us.

In a battle of shame and survival instinct, instinct won by a wide margin. I realised that the suit was kind of appropriate for hiding in the dark woods, and it seemed right. But somewhere on the edge of my mind was the thought, you know what you look like now. Waving away the thoughts I didn't need to realise for the sake of the integrity of my sanity, I headed forwards. After a dozen minutes of silent travelling in the direction of the last direction where his howl had sounded, I noticed the appearance of a fucking fog. No way, even here it's a fucking fog... although if this is the world of that big wolf... he's my beast... knows my thoughts... After making such a simple logical chain, my desire to tear that bastard apart went up several orders of magnitude. Kill him so I can survive and become stronger? Pfft he should just die for karmic justice. In all the previous times, I couldn't do anything to the creators of these temperature swings. And here I am, ready to go, unable to escape, and covered in fur that probably burns well, just like the stars aligned.

At the same time, in another part of the forest, the sixth sense beast that was the centre of the Lycan's power stopped for a moment and looked around in surprise. His fur stood on end for a few seconds, but he could find no reason for this behaviour. So after standing like that for a minute he continued on his way to the unworthy young man.

The long-awaited moment of the battle for possession of the body had arrived. Although the owner of the body had never had any problems using other people's powers because of the ancient ritual of the divine entities, the beast was constantly thrashing, tearing and throwing metal inside the boy's mind. Every time Rain turned he felt it, but could do nothing and it only strengthened the hatred and rage encased in the wolf's body. So now, finally feeling that the force that was crushing and actively judging the kid had receded, the beast was happy. He was driven by the instinct to fight for control and power that had been instilled in his body when he appeared. And today, one way or another, his life's purpose would be fulfilled.

Running between hundreds of centuries-old oaks, the wolf only at the last moment felt the urge to kill from above. But this time he was ready. The claws on his right hind paw abruptly transformed and became several metres longer, with the claws digging into the ground the beast was able to control its direction and dodge the attack to the side. Jumping away from where Pierce had landed, the beast looked at the dishonoured thief and, noticing his appearance, fell into a state of prostration for a second, which Rain did not hesitate to take advantage of, and with a shout of spalew, launched a gigantic fire wave several tens of metres high at the wolf.

Only some time after welding that door, which Rain decided not to call himself, he noticed that his energy reserve for creating fire had become several tens of times greater. So the creation of such a wave had an almost imperceptible effect on the reserve. The beast had received some scorch marks, but the wolf's hide had withstood Pierce's attack and now the battle of glances was back on between them. When both opponents were ready to rush at each other a giant number appeared in the middle between them, counting down.

5...4...3...2...1...BATTLE.

After the countdown ended and the barely peripheral crunch of popcorn, Knuckle Up by WattWhite started playing throughout the forest. Without delay, Pierce immediately flooded the entire surrounding part of the forest with fire. Throwing himself towards his opponent, Raine concentrated the enormous temperature of the flames on his fingertips, causing them to turn snow-white and glow. Dodging the impact of the beast's paw with a backhanded blast, Pierce swept his hand across the wolf's side. A terrifying howl of pain erupted from the beast's mouth, and its side was covered in five curved shallow streaks of steam. A moment later the painful howl changed to a fierce growl and a paw with razor-sharp claws that could cut through giant oaks like a knife through butter came at Pierce. With a wave of concentrated plasma down below him, Pierce simply fell to the ground, evading the enemy's attack.

Rain realised that physically he was no match for the wolf, but his flame, which had become much stronger and more varied, had some associations, but looking at his body, which was covered in a thin film of flame causing light flashes of fire from any movement of his hand, he couldn't remember what it reminded him of. Deciding that it was too foolish to risk trying to reach the enemy in close proximity, Pierce decided to rely on the flames that had become several times more powerful. Creating a way out a few dozen metres from the area being attacked by the beast in an attempt to reach the enemy, he began to infuse all the flames around them with a giant stream of energy. The fire began to change colour and now instead of warm orange, the forest was illuminated with a cold blue. When the beast spotted Pierce, it rushed towards him, but it was too late. All the flames around them were already heading towards the beast, and Rain himself was no longer holding back the feelings that had been tearing at him since the battle began, he let the fire come out on its own. His body began to emit a boundless amount of flames, which, obeying some inner desire, began to gather around Pierce and did not move further than a metre away from him. At the moment when the beast reached the formed fiery sphere of snow-white colour and had already raised its paw to attack, the force forcing the flames to hold inside the sphere disappeared and a terrifying power poured out on the wolf, the beast did not even manage to make a sound before its body was vaporised, as well as most of the forest around it. From the air at the place of the beast's death came red flashes that like the flames before began to surround Rain, but unlike the fire they did not seek to leave the body, but to be absorbed into it. Half an hour later Pierce's body completely absorbed the remnants of the beast's energy and the forest around him began to collapse, and Rain himself was picked up by an unknown force that threw him out of the almost completely broken room. Finding himself in a familiar corridor, he saw the monumental doors slowly dissolve into the stone wall. After that, the world in Rayan's eyes faded. In the next instant, Rayan's body sitting calmly in front of the Ancient with Kaecilius fell to the floor.

-He won? - Preparing an attack asked Kaecilius.

-Well, as I know, if the beast had won, Mr Pierce would have turned and attacked all living creatures around him by now. - The Ancient One said calmly. Then she waved her hand and opened a portal under Ryan's body to his room and threw it over the bed.

-I see you're very thoughtful as always. - Letting himself a slight smile, Kaecilius said.

-You know, I've wanted to teach you how to open portals without the double ring for a long time. Especially on Everest there are such beautiful views at this time of year. - Standing up, the Ancient One said.

-I have just taken on a new apprentice and I think I will have much less personal time now. So even a tempting invitation to personal training from the High Sorcerer will have to be refused. - With a twitching smile, Kaecilius said with all his being wanting to open the portal under him right now and escape.

-It's a shame, but it can't be helped. Apprentices are our future, and we can't train them with our sleeves up. - The Ancient One smiled as she left the room.

-Shall we go to Monaco's bar? - Standing in the silence of the empty hall, Kaecilius asked the emptiness.
