Selene led Noah down the dimly lit corridor, her steps sure and steady.
The cold air of the underground dungeon wrapped around them, making Noah's skin prickle. He felt a lot more nervous walking behind Selene than he did before.
Noah kept glancing sideways at Selene, his mind still processing everything that had happened.
'Disappear.'
Selene wanted to make them vanish—to break them free from the Vale family.
It felt… unreal.
"Are you sure this will work? Father is not easy to fool."
Noah asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
Selene's gaze remained fixed ahead.
"I have a plan."
She murmured, her tone leaving no room for doubt.
Noah's heart clenched. He didn't want to doubt her. But a small part of him couldn't shake the feeling that this plan might backfire.
They stopped outside a reinforced door, and Selene pressed her palm against the scanner. A low hum echoed as the system verified her identity and unlocked the door.
"Ethan already brought Nora here."
