Chapter 133 - Chapter 132: The Demon Sword

Outside, Uncle Nine and his group were struggling to hold back the enemy forces.

The problem wasn't that they were weak—it was that the enemies were simply too many. Even though the ones who had come to Japan were all skilled fighters, two hands couldn't fight off dozens at once.

If it weren't for Xiao Ling holding off the ghosts, they would have already lost.

Uncle Nine saw the situation turning dire and decided to stop holding back. He removed his backpack and pulled out a large number of talismans, handing them out to the group.

"Everyone, use the Five Thunder Talismans together!" Uncle Nine commanded.

 Swish! Swish! Swish!

A wave of talismans shot toward the ghosts.

Although these mass-produced talismans weren't as powerful as hand-drawn ones, sheer numbers made up for the difference.

Lightning crackled through the ghostly ranks, dispersing their dark energy.

"Keep going!"

Another round of lightning struck. The enemy mages and spiritual warriors also used their own spells and artifacts to counterattack.

Meanwhile, Ren Fa looked battered. His clothes were torn to shreds, and wounds covered his body, though they healed almost instantly.

It was thanks to the enchanted golden apple Yang Tao had given him earlier.

Yamamoto Kazuichi's movements were slowing down. Attacks he could have dodged before now had to be blocked with his demon sword.

He was an agile, high-damage assassin, but now he was facing Ren Fa, a high-damage tank. He couldn't handle the direct confrontation.

Noticing his opponent slowing down, Ren Fa also adjusted his attack rhythm, trying to wear him down.

Soon, Ren Fa saw an opening and suddenly reached for the demon sword, gripping part of the handle and yanking it back with all his strength.

"Hand it over!"

Ren Fa snatched the demon sword away before his opponent could react.

Ren Fa examined the demon sword. It didn't look special, yet it had been able to wound him.

He pointed the sword at Yamamoto Kazuichi.

"Tell me what's up with this sword!"

Now that his demon sword was taken, Yamamoto Kazuichi had no way to fight back. He knew he wouldn't survive this, so he simply dropped to his knees and stayed silent.

Seeing his calm demeanor, Ren Fa felt some respect. This was the most composed Japanese fighter he had encountered—like someone who had accepted death.

Ren Fa admired people like this. In that case, he should let him go—

Ren Fa slashed down without hesitation.

"Let you go, my ass! You were the one who issued the challenge! You were the one who tried to ambush me! And now that you lost, you wanna act all noble?!"

The moment Yamamoto Kazuichi fell, the others outside panicked and ran.

Within moments, the entire group that had surrounded them had vanished without a trace.

Ren Fa quickly gave the order.

"Move out! Head straight home. That old bastard wasn't ordinary. We don't want the Japanese government coming after us."

Normally, the martial world understood the rules. If you challenged someone and lost, you had to accept the consequences. Governments rarely got involved.

But since the fight had involved an ambush, Ren Fa didn't trust the Japanese to play fair.

He wouldn't put it past them to pull any kind of dirty trick—except maybe solving a math problem.

Everyone quickly packed up and headed for the docks.

Everything went smoothly. They boarded the same ship they had arrived on.

From landing to departure, they had spent less than half a day in Japan. Most of that time was just traveling.

Ren Fa sat in his cabin, looking at the demon sword, reflecting on himself.

He had been too arrogant lately.

Now that a sword capable of injuring him had appeared, who knew what else was out there?

"I need to train harder. Can't keep slacking off like this."

He tossed the demon sword aside and flopped onto the bed, enjoying a massage from Xiaoling.
