Tomorrow, he planned to explore the surroundings, but he was slightly worried about encountering monsters similar to those he had faced before. However, seeing no other options, he gathered his courage and prepared for reconnaissance. Perhaps he could catch a few beasts and earn points from them.
For now, he decided to stay in the cave, assuming it was a hunters' camp. Judging by the condition of the items inside, the last people here had been around a week ago.
The Next Morning Derek sat by the campfire, his face looking exhausted.
"Sleeping on fur is so uncomfortable. When I have more points, I'll buy myself a mattress," Derek thought.
Opening his status, he noticed that his points had increased.

After eating dried meat and drinking a bottle of water, which he had bought for 0.2 King's Points, Derek left the cave.
"Time to explore," he thought.
He decided not to go too far from the cave. After about five minutes, he stumbled upon a 2-meter-wide stream. Kneeling, he filled his bottle with water and began following the stream downstream.
A few minutes later, he saw a 40-centimeter-long lizard that quickly ran away as soon as it saw him. He glanced in the direction it fled but didn't pursue it.
Walking along the stream, he spotted a rabbit drinking water. Crouching down, Derek carefully stepped forward in an attempt to sneak up on it. However, the rabbit heard him and ran away. Derek sighed and checked his notifications.

Derek was about to return to the cave when he noticed a large boar standing on the opposite side of the stream. It was 1.2 meters tall and had claw wounds on its body, but it didn't look weak at all. The boar stared at Derek with a warning look.
Not wanting to provoke a fight, Derek carefully stepped back and hid in the bushes.
"Damn, that boar scared me," he thought, still shaken.
Had the boar been uninjured, Derek might not have dared to retreat.
After this encounter, he decided to head back.
As he neared the cave, he spotted a tree with fruits. Approaching it, he picked a few and stored them in his inventory, wondering if he could exchange them for points.

Looking up, he saw the sky was covered in clouds. He hurried back to the cave, and minutes later, it started to rain.
Entering the cave, slightly wet, Derek began lighting a fire. After a few minutes, he sat on the fur and checked his skills.

Derek examined them and decided to upgrade one of his skills.

Thinking for a moment, he used it to boost his Agility.
"Not bad. I need to level up this skill more," he thought, feeling a bit more optimistic.
Once the rain stopped, he planned to gather more fruits for exchange. Or perhaps, he would hunt some prey instead.
