Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Black Dragon’s Blitz on the Silver Mine Cave

How Should I Eat Such a Soft and Adorable Little Baby?

Urgent! Online waiting for answers!

Anna's Favorability hadn't changed much, but Su Nian felt like he was close to being completely overwhelmed.

How could someone so young already be this charming? What would happen when she grew up? This adorable little Half-Elf girl was still in her growth phase, and her nutrition had to be properly supplemented. Was it too much to reward her with pure milk using all those points?

Su Nian didn't think so. But for now, he had no idea where to find milk—after all, even the cows hadn't matured yet.

As for Lolita dresses, perhaps they weren't entirely out of the question, though they were a bit expensive.

These thoughts flashed through his mind in rapid succession. Su Nian quickly suppressed the slight awkwardness in his heart. With his pitch-black dragon face, he solemnly picked up the soft and obedient Anna, placing her gently on his back.

His back was now broader than before and had been specially modified to include a recessed area resembling a seat. Anna's petite and delicate figure fit perfectly into it.

Su Nian could control the soft cartilage connected to his dragon spine to tighten and secure Anna's position, preventing her from falling. Anna could also hold onto the horns on his back, which would at least give her a sense of security.

Given the current limitations, this was the best he could do. But in the future, when he had the capability, he planned to upgrade his back into a cockpit-like structure, fully enclosed to protect Anna from all angles.

What's that?

You think it's foolish for a mighty dragon to carry a burden into battle?

Su Nian scoffed at the notion. A true dragon only grows stronger with a Special Female NPC by his side. If he failed to protect her, that would simply mean he wasn't strong enough—it had nothing to do with Anna.

[Hehe, it's so comfortable and warm sitting on Mr. Dragon's back.]

[Anna wishes she could be protected like this forever.]

[But alas, Anna's body…]

Hearing Anna's thoughts, Su Nian couldn't help but grin. As a transmigrator, stealing someone back from Death itself? That was just a matter of nodding his head.

Turning his gaze to the kobolds still prostrating on the ground, awaiting his orders, Su Nian decided it was time to attack the mine occupied by the Ettercaps.

Whether it was to prepare for the Anlus Kingdom's punitive expedition or the unpredictable arrival of players, his only choice now was to strengthen himself to the utmost and gather more magical creatures under his command.

He was confident in his new appearance.

Deep within the Silvermoon Forest, in an evergreen broadleaf woodland, dense spiderwebs blanketed the trees and ground like winter snow.

Most of the trees had already withered, their bare trunks intertwining into chaotic, grotesque shapes. Layer upon layer, they resembled clawing devils, their eerie forms casting terrifying shadows in the dim light.

This was the territory of the Ettercaps, and it was unmistakable.

In their domain, nearly all living creatures were hunted down. The Ettercaps' webs and venom gradually eroded the once lush forest, transforming it into a desolate land filled with webs and corpses.

The Ettercaps never bothered to clean up the corpses, leaving them to rot and decay into white bones.

But today, a far more terrifying predator had intruded upon this deathly domain—a black dragon, fearsome and majestic.

Trailing behind him was a group of trembling kobolds.

"By Kurtulmak, Great Master, this place is truly terrifying!"

Bolikri nervously scanned the eerie surroundings. When they had fled this area, it had been vibrant and full of life, with flowers, green trees, chirping insects, and singing birds. Now, it looked more desolate and decayed than a necromancer's lair.

"Do not fear. I will stand by your side," Su Nian casually reassured the frightened kobolds.

As for himself? Fear? What was that? He was the very embodiment of terror.

Even Anna, nestled on his back, wasn't afraid.

"Pick up the pace and head straight for the mine. We don't have time to search for them one by one. Once we make enough noise, I'm sure all the Ettercaps will come running."

Su Nian decisively ordered the kobolds to quicken their steps. However, before they could even reach the mine's entrance, a swarm of giant spiders, screeching "Squeak, squeak," blocked their path.

In truth, these giant spiders had been tailing them for a while. But their cunning nature had kept them from attacking immediately. The black dragon's aura intimidated them, so they had merely followed from a distance—until now.

They couldn't tolerate it anymore. If they waited any longer, the intruders would breach their nest. To be honest, this was the first time they had encountered such audacious invaders.

Just a bunch of trash barely above level ten.

Su Nian's dragon eyes glinted coldly. His chest swelled dramatically, his throat bulged, and a ghostly green light flickered to life, accompanied by a rumbling sound akin to an engine revving up.

A torrent of molten green dragon breath erupted, engulfing the giant spiders in its devastating flames.

The spiders barely had time to let out a few screeches before they were reduced to ash by the dragon breath.

[You have slain Giant Spider x57. System Points gained: 312]

Not bad. Very satisfying.

Instant annihilation.

Su Nian exhaled a ring of smoke laced with a strong sulfuric odor, thoroughly pleased.

If it had been his previous acidic dragon breath, it wouldn't have been nearly as clean and efficient. The combined burning and corrosive effects had significantly enhanced the destructive power of his dragon breath.

Even the surrounding dead trees were ignited by the ghostly green flames. But so what? They were already dead. This place needed purification anyway.

"Keep moving!"

With his massive dragon wings spread wide, Su Nian issued the command.

The kobolds, filled with newfound reverence for the black dragon, marched forward with determined steps, following him into what was once their home.

Moments later…

Inside the web-covered mine, green flames burned everywhere.

Spider corpses littered the cave, and the stench of scorched protein filled the air.

Three Ettercaps lay beneath Su Nian's feet, writhing in agony. Their bodies were covered in burn marks, and dark green blood oozed from their wounds, mingling with the severed limbs of countless spiders. The scene was utterly gruesome.

There had originally been four Ettercaps, but one had already been burned to death.

Now, the last remaining Ettercap cowered before Su Nian, trembling like a helpless maiden about to be violated.

Su Nian had deliberately left this one alive as a test subject to gauge his current physical strength.

Raising his fearsome dragon head, he pressed his thick, steel-like dragon claw onto the grotesque head of the Ettercap beneath him, grinding it down with a chilling "creak, creak" sound.

A blast of scorching white steam erupted from his nostrils, searing the face of the cowering Ettercap. It clutched its face, writhing on the ground in agony, letting out pitiful "squeak, squeak" cries.

That's enough.

Su Nian's dragon eyes narrowed. His iron-hard tail lashed out like a whip, striking the writhing Ettercap.

But instead of being sent flying like a ball, the Ettercap burst apart like a watermelon struck by a sledgehammer, leaving nothing but a pile of mangled flesh.
