Neo was lying on his bed waiting for his sister Bella.
Severia: [How about I send you to training in my Void Dimension? I'll only transfer your soul, so any injury you receive there will happen there and nothing will happen to you when you leave the world.]
"Neo" Okay, I agree. This sounds interesting.
Severia [Okay, I'll send you, but you can't use your spirit sword. Only your elements can use them.]
"Neo" Okay, no problem.
Then Neo felt very dizzy and then everything went black and then
Neo's eyes opened to a world opposite to reality. A purple sky like a thin film, saturated with mercury haze, beneath which lay a barren black earth that nearly sucked the light from the air. Bare trees like giant bones embedded in the soil, their branches twisting skyward like the fingers of corpses pleading for survival. There was no sound except the whispers of an unknown wind carrying a burning, metallic smell that stung the nostrils. Terrified, Neo stood clutching his chest as the purple Void Star glowed, while Severia slipped from the shadows like smoke suddenly forming beside him. "Your trainer today... The Insatiable Hunger."
Before he could reply, the black earth exploded around him, sprouting hundreds of deformed hands with iron nails, followed by parasitic bodies with no eyes or mouths, only exposed brain cavities oozing a sticky yellow substance. The whispers of the wind suddenly coalesced into a single scream that pierced his ears like a drill, and he raced nervously toward the nearest bare tree, its shadow coiled around his right arm, forming a dull black sword. He leaped over the first crawling monster, the sword of darkness embedded in its gelatinous head, only to find the yellow fluid escaping from it searing the skin of his palms like acid!
"Shadow is a shield, not just a weapon…" Severia whispered in his mind as he wrapped his weary body in a layer of thick darkness, transforming his left hand into a long spear that resembled a black dragon's tongue. He pounced on the twisting beasts with swirling motions, each strike cleaving a parasitic body in two that melted like wax, but with every kill… three new ones appeared! The metallic smell became suffocating, and the purple sky began to release silent lightning, illuminating the scene in a terrifying color.
In a moment of despair, he remembered Severia's words: "The Void is not a void... it is a thread waiting to be woven." He closed his eyes tightly and pressed against the Void Star until purple blood poured from his nostrils. With an unknown scream, thin threads of purple silk exploded around him, each thread cutting through the air with a sound like atoms splitting, reducing the monsters to black fragments that vaporized before falling. But the wild threads made no distinction between enemy and ally, slicing into Neo's own skin, drawing bloody lines across his face as he struggled to control the deadly storm he had unleashed.
Hours (or minutes... time here is a purple liquid) later, Neo fell to his knees, his body bleeding a black shadow from twenty wounds, while purple threads hung around him like the threads of a giant spider. The black ground was covered in glowing black dust, and the sky returned to its illusory stillness. Even Severia, who had suddenly appeared as a white specter in the midst of the destruction, looked stunned: "You... wove the void in a way that only..."
Neo cut her off with a hoarse cry as he stood up, holding onto the single remaining purple thread. "Enough… training."
The shadow around his arm changed its features as he left the world...
