Superman didn't answer.
Bruce took a step forward. "You think you saved them. That you built something better." His voice lowered. "But what happens when you're gone?"
Superman finally looked at him.
"That's not your concern."
Batman stared for a long moment. Then, without another word, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Superman alone.
Superman exhaled, his hands tightening at his sides.
He had won.
He had everything.
But why did it feel so empty?
