Chapter 107 - Chapter 107 The Final Battle at Sea

One might have hoped that Russia, sensing the danger, would halt its advance. But neither Russia nor Japan had any intention of stopping.

Following the bombardment of Lüshun, the reorganized Allied Fleet immediately turned its cannons on Yingkou. The Far Eastern Army, however, remained unfazed. 

Japan's intentions were transparent—to incapacitate every port in their path. 

Yingkou, unlike Lüshun, lacked fortifications or bases, leaving it defenseless. 

After hours of relentless shelling, the port was rendered inoperable, stripped of its functionality.

Japan's actions drew the ire of the British ambassador in Tokyo. Furious, he confronted Foreign Minister Aoki Shuzo.

"What is the meaning of this? You assured me there would be no further bombardments!"

"There was no choice," Aoki replied, his tone unapologetic. "The enemy is amassing at the Yalu River. 

Cutting their supply lines is the only way to defend the Korean Empire."
