Mukai Kohinata brought Tetsuo to Leaf Central Hospital and shouted, "Please help him."
The nurse said, "Call the doctor and administer the healing jutsu first."
When the ninja heard healing jutsu, Kohinata quickly shouted, "No, no, no. No healing."
The nurse asked, "Why not? Can you explain what's wrong?"
Kohinata explained, "He insisted on no healing before he fainted. There must be a reason for that. I need you to identify the reason before proceeding with any treatment."
The nurse nodded in understanding and promptly requested the doctor to examine Tetsuo's condition. As they waited for the doctor's arrival, Kohinata anxiously paced back and forth, wondering how to explain things to staff. He had sensed something inside of his partner but could not tell them how.
The medical staff admitted Tetsuo and proceeded to treat his burns using soothing lotions and bandages for relief. The doctor came and discussed with the nurses, and the nurses repeated what the Kohinata had said. The doctor was also confused; not figuring out what to do, he relented and asked for help: "Inform Dr. Yuki about this patient."
Yuki was talking with Tsunade when a nurse came in and declared, "Dr. Yuki, there is an emergency. The resident doctor has requested your support."
Yuki asked the nurse, "What is the emergency?"
The nurse said, "A ninja has been brought in and admitted for burns caused by an explosion. Apparently, the one who brought him said not to heal him."
Yuki asked, "Why would he bring him to the hospital then?"
The nurse said, "The man said the patient himself requested it before fainting."
Tsunade's eyes widen when she hears this. She asked the nurse, "Was he fighting stone ninjas?"
The nurse replied, "I don't know."
Tsunade asked, "Who brought him here? Is the person still here?"
The nurse replied, "I think the person is in the lobby."
Yuki asked, "What's wrong, Tsunade?"
Tsunade said, "I need to talk to the ninja who brought him here and then tell the staff to not use [Healing Hand Jutsu] and treat the burns using herbs and healing lotion."
Tsunade soon reached the emergency room, where the ninja was being treated, and asked, "Are you the one who brought him in?"
Mukai Kohinata replied, "Yes."
Tsunade asked, "Were you chasing stone ninjas?"
Ninja replied, "Yes, they seem to be ninjas from Stone Village."
Tsunade instructed, "Stay clear from him. Shizune, inspect him. Look for surgical wounds in his stomach."
"Yes, Tsunade-sama," Shizune replied.
Shizune examined the stomach of Tetsuo and replied,
"Tsunade-sama, there is a cut on his stomach. It's very fine. Surgical knife, if I have to guess."
Tsunade replied, "This is bad. Call a Hyuga. We need to look inside of his stomach."
The attending physician replied, "We can see if there is something in his stomach."
Tsunade said, "No, she shouted. Don't even think about it. Just call a Hyuga."
Yuki asked, "What is wrong, Tsunade? Tell me."
Tsunade replied, "It's the Explosion Corps from Stone Village. They sometimes rig captured ninjas with explosives and release them."
The room was shocked. The attending physician asked, "You mean to say that there is an explosion inside his stomach?"
Kohinata was relieved that the most talented medical ninja in the history of the Leaf Village was here in such a situation.
Tsunade replied, "Yes, most probably. The Explosion Corps used this despicable move in the 2nd and 3rd Ninja Wars."
The attending physician realised the gravity of the situation; he had nearly escaped death today. Yuki then shouted, "Clear the building. Evacuate it completely."
Isao asked, "What about the patients?"
Yuki replied, "Transport all the serious ones to another hospital, and those not serious, send them home."
Shizune asked, "Maybe the wound on his stomach could be from past surgery. Is it necessary to do all this without confirming?"
Just then a Huyga ninja jumped near them. Yuki talked with him, "I am offering a verbal mission to you. I need to look inside his stomach for a foreign object. Look for a fuinjutsu seal."
The Hyuga Ninja nodded and got near Tetsuo and formed a hand seal. The veins around his eyes bulged, and the Byakugan was activated. He saw the insides of the patient and had a worried expression.
Tsunade asked, "What do you see?"
The Hyuga ninja explained, "There is a rolled paper-like object infused with chakra that does not belong to him."
Tsunade said, "My worries came true."
She continued, "That thing is a custom-made explosive. Somewhat waterproof and chakra sensitive. If we try to get it out, it will absorb the air and explode. If we don't do anything, it will keep on absorbing oxygen from his blood and explode on its own. If it is touched by the chakra of anyone else other than its host or the caster of the seal, it explodes. We cannot operate on him or defuse the seal."
She waited to finish and finished her sentence, "I am afraid that we cannot help him."
Kohinata went pale when he heard Tsunade giving up.
Yuki replied, "Surely there must be some way."
Tsunade replied, "No, there isn't. I had helplessly witnessed a similar situation in the last ninja war. I can handle poisons, but this is beyond my expertise. Even attempting to remove it surgically would be futile," Tsunade replied, her voice tinged with a hint of resignation.
Kohinata asked, "Lady Tsunade, there must be something we can do."
Tsunade replied, "No. Any attempt to save him will result in his death and the death of his people around him. That is what the enemy had planned and is hoping for, to injure the medical units."
Yuki said, "I will not give up on him. Isao, Is the hospital evacuated?"
Isao replied, "Yes."
Yuki then thought about what to do next. She, unlike Tsunade, was not ready to give up. She thought of Ryu and then said, "Go call Ryu, tell him it's an emergency, and I need his help."
"Yes, ma'am," Isao replied and ran towards Ryu's home.
"Who is Ryu?" Tsunade asked.
Yuki replied, "He is the genius boy I have been talking about."
Tetsuo asked, "A boy? Are you sure he can help?"
Tsunade warned, "Do not risk the boy in all this, sensei."
Yuki looked at Tsunade and replied, "I am just taking his opinion. He is very observant and finds unique solutions to every problem."
Tsunade replied, "Suit yourself. But I am going to interfere if I have to."
Isao came running and knocked on Ryu's door.
Dan opened the door and asked, "Isao, what is the matter? You look worried."
Isko replied, "Dr. Yuki is asking for Ryu. She needs his help at the hospital."
Dan pointed at the new workshop and replied, "He is in the workshop."
Before Isao reached the workshop to look for him, Ryu came himself and asked, "Isao-san, why are you here?"
Isao replied, "Dr. Yuki needs your help. She sent me to call you urgently."
"Ok, let's go. Enjomi-san, please look after the lab." Ryu left with Isao.
Ikkyu arrived at Leaf Central Hospital with a minimal number of guards, seeking to meet Yuki personally without drawing attention. He wanted to meet Yuki personally without any noise.
But he saw a huge crowd gathering in front of the hospital. He asked one of the spectators, "What's going on? Why is everyone outside?"
The spectator replied, "I don't know. An order for evacuation was issued by the doctors, and all serious patients were transferred to the other hospital."
Another spectator said, "The legendary sannin, lady Tsunade, is there, so everything should be under control."
Ikkyu and Aoi were taken aback upon hearing her name, as they had been searching for her for some time without success, and she was with someone they intended to meet.
Ikkyu signalled his guard and said, "Go and discreetly gather information about the current situation unfolding at the hospital."
"Yes, my lord," the guard said and vanished.
Just then, Ikkyu saw a hospital staff member and a young boy with a funny hairstyle running towards the blocked area and entering the hospital.
Ikkyu Madoka thought, 'Something dangerous is definitely going on. Let's see if this legendary sannin and his teacher are as good as they say.'
Ryu reached the room where Tetsuo was being treated for burns and asked, "Mother Yuki, Isao-san told me you need my help. What is going on?"
Yuki explained the situation about the bomb in the stomach of Tetsuo. Kohinata also helped explain while wondering why a boy is being called for consultation in this dire situation.
Ryu listened to the explanation and then said, "This is really a complicated situation. The bomb needs oxygen to explode; we can utilise this to our advantage."
Tsuande said, "Hey brat, this is not a playground. Don't endanger the lives of others and, more specifically, yours."
Ryu replied, "Mother Yuki, I am thinking. Tell the lady with huge… forehead to shut up so that I can concentrate."
Veins popped out of Tsunade's forehead as she shouted, "Hey brat, do you know who you are talking to?"
Ryu replied, "I know who you are; you are legendary something-something. If you are not helping the patient, then you should wait outside."
Kohinata and Shizune were surprised by the audacity of Ryu.
Kohinata thought, 'This kid has balls of steel.'
Tsunade's eyes widened upon hearing a little boy scolding her like this. She could not believe what she just heard.
