Deep in the western border forest, the wails of vengeful spirits echoed in the air, occasionally accompanied by the roar of beasts.
Tall trees and thick shrubs stretched as far as the eye could see.
At the northern part of the forest, three people clad in armor sat at the foot of a small hill, their expressions exhausted.
Their robes were torn, and their bodies were covered in bruises and cuts.
"What do you think is inside this hill?" one of them asked, a young man.
"It must be something important and rare," the only woman among them responded, staring at the ordinary-looking hill.
The young man looked at the hill, his curiosity growing. "Should we try to find out?"
"Stop. We've completed our mission. Now, let's wait for the young master's arrival," the team leader snapped, glaring at the young man.
The young man wanted to protest but met the piercing gaze of the captain. He swallowed whatever he had in mind.
