Ash was starting to think his luck with women had skyrocketed from a blessing to a curse — first Lilith (whose memories he still couldn't fully recall), now his past-life lover Lusamine. If not for his steadfast morals, this "harem" might've spiraled into disaster.
As for how Ash confirmed Lusamine's identity? It was almost comical. He'd casually asked, "What was your favorite food in your past life? And your last meal?"
"I HAD ANOREXIA!" Lusamine had roared. "The only thing I could stomach was your hyper-spiced sludge! And my 'last meal' was an IV drip!"
Though yelled at, Ash felt reassured — this was 100% his girlfriend.
"By the way, I never pegged you as the adoptive mom type," Ash whispered later, glancing at Lillie and Gladion chatting with Misty and Yellow.
Smiling, Lusamine leaned her head on his shoulder. "With memories of you, how could I ever settle for another man? No one else compares."
"Even so… I'm still building a harem this time."
"THUD!"
Lusamine suddenly grabbed Ash's cheeks, glaring. "Why must you be so tone-deaf about this?!"
"Principles!" Ash mumbled through squished lips. "Besides… my 'first time' is already gone!"
"..." Lusamine side-eyed Elesa, who flashed a smug V-sign, then dragged Ash away.
"Wait, where are we—?"
"To fix you."
"But… shouldn't we tell Misty and Lillie—?"
"Send Meowth. You're sleeping with us now."
Ash vanished into the night, hauled off by Lusamine and a giggling Elesa. Gladion watched silently, secretly relieved. Despite the absurdity, he'd accepted Ash as a father figure — a hero who'd protected his family against Tentacruel hordes.
At dawn, Ash cooked breakfast while staff marveled at his boundless stamina. How does he function?!
Truthfully, even Ash didn't understand his supernatural endurance. But he wasn't complaining — it kept him alive.
Gladion approached, clutching his Eevee and Kong (Alolan Persian).
"Up early?" Ash asked.
"I want to train." Gladion nodded at his team.
"Good! Let's grab breakfast first. I'll teach your Eevee some Normal-type moves later."
"Really?!" Gladion's eyes lit up — Ash's signature attacks were legendary.
"Don't get too excited. They need body conditioning first. Most Normal moves rely on raw strength."
"Right…" Gladion nodded solemnly.
Handing him a plate, Ash grinned. "Eat up. I need to sneak back before your mom and Elesa wake up."
As Ash left, Gladion stared at his plate.
Maybe… this won't be so bad?
