Chapter 10 - New Weapon

Veylan's eyes widened as he stared at the Ascended Essence Fragments in my palm. The golden like diamonds pulsed with an ethereal radiance, their glow reflecting in his eager gaze.

He finally spoke. "Yeah one second lad, I got to close up shop a little earlier than usual. This..is a special case."

I nodded with a chuckle as I watched him changed the sign from open to closed. He then walked back in front of me.

"Now I can count on one hand as many times I have seen these Ascended Essence Fragments even then, Eternals only present five or less not as many as this!" He said with surprise and enthusiasm. "Tell me Tyros, would you want me to craft you..a divine sword?"

Easy ass answer for that.

"Hell yeah. To be honest I would want one that resonates with all Charisms if you get what I mean." I replied.

Veylan smirked in response. "I know exactly what you mean. What else do you have to craft it with?"

I took out a good chunk of Aethersteel, Nightshade Essence, and a few more Ascended Essence Fragments.

Seeing that Veylan's eyes widened further.

"How many of those..do you have?"

"Enough to get what I came here for." I replied with a smile."

"Haha! That's the spirit! I knew you would be my new favorite!!" Veylan chuckled. "This is going to take about an hour. More time than usual because I want to make sure it's perfect for you."

"Surprise me." I said.

Veylan smirked widely at that and saluted. He grabbed all the loot and went back in his area to get started.

I went back to a nearby chair and sat down. I could hear a metal like sound banging in the background.

I leaned back, exhaling as the rhythmic clang of metal against metal echoed through the forge. The heat in the air seemed to thrum with an almost divine intensity, as if the very elements were responding to the forging of something beyond mortal craftsmanship.

I could feel the presence of the Ascended Essence Fragments even from here—their radiance pulsating faintly like distant stars. A sword imbued with all twelve Charisms… that was a bold request, even for someone like me.

But if anyone could do it, it was Veylan.

I glanced around the shop, letting my gaze drift over the various weapons on display. Each one held an aura of craftsmanship beyond normal smithing, but none of them would compare to what was being forged for me now.

After a few moments, I closed my eyes and reached inward, focusing on my own power. The True Eternal essence within me stirred, recognizing the Ascended Fragments as more than just materials. They were fragments of something greater—pieces of a force beyond even the Eternals.

And soon, they would be a part of my blade.

The forge suddenly flared brighter, and I cracked an eye open to see Veylan grinning like a madman, his arms coated in soot and Aether Energy sparking around him.

"Oi, Tyros!" he called, his voice practically buzzing with excitement. "I'm not even done yet, but I can already tell… this thing is going to be one hell of a weapon!"

I grinned. "That's what I like to hear."

Veylan let out a deep laugh as he continued hammering away, each strike sending a shockwave of power through the forge.

I could feel it.

This sword…

Was going to be legendary.

The forge burned hotter than before, its flames shifting between hues of gold, violet, and deep crimson, as if reality itself recognized the magnitude of what was being created. The air crackled with energy, and the sound of metal striking metal reverberated through the shop like the heartbeat of a god.

Veylan was in his element, moving with the precision of a master far beyond mortal skill. Each hammer strike didn't just shape the metal—it commanded it, willed it into something greater. The Aethersteel and Ascended Essence Fragments melded together in ways that should've been impossible, flowing like liquid starlight before solidifying into something new. Something… divine.

From my seat, I could feel the Charisms reacting—each fragment pulsing as though eager to be shaped into something worthy of their power.

Then, I saw it.

A glyph appeared midair—not carved, not drawn, but manifested—glowing with a brilliance that rivaled the Ascended Fragments themselves. It was no ordinary rune. This was something primordial, something that hadn't been written in millennia.

Even Veylan paused for a moment, staring as the glyphs etched themselves into the forming blade, sinking deep into its very essence.

"…By the gods," he muttered under his breath, his voice barely above a whisper.

Then, with a grin, he lifted his hammer high and slammed it down one final time.

A shockwave erupted from the forge, nearly knocking me back as raw energy surged outward. The walls of the shop rattled, and the very air hummed with power.

Then—silence.

The glow dimmed, the heat settled, and Veylan stepped back, breathing hard but with a wild grin stretching across his soot-covered face.

"It's done," he said. His voice was steady, but his hands trembled slightly—not from exhaustion, but from the sheer weight of what he had just forged.

I stood up, stepping forward as he slowly reached into the forge and pulled out the blade.

It was…

Magnificent.

The metal was not just one color, but a constantly shifting spectrum of gold, silver, deep violet, and abyssal black—as if the very concept of creation and destruction had been fused into its form. The blade itself was sleek yet immeasurably powerful, humming with an energy that felt alive.

Runes of all twelve Charisms pulsed faintly along the edge, shifting and adapting as I reached out to take hold of it.

The moment my fingers wrapped around the hilt, a surge of power exploded through my body.

[ You have obtained: Aeternus, Blade of the True Eternal LV.1 ]

[Weapon Type]: Divine Armament

[Rank]: Transcendent

[Effect]: This weapon resonates with all twelve Charisms, adapting its abilities based on the will of its wielder. It is indestructible, able to cut through even the fabric of existence.

I exhaled slowly, feeling the weight of the weapon—not just physically, but spiritually.

This was more than a sword.

This was a declaration of power.

Veylan wiped the sweat from his forehead and chuckled. "Well, lad? What do you think?"

I grinned, spinning the blade once in my hand. It moved like an extension of my very being, perfectly attuned to my essence.

"It's..perfect."

Veylan smirked. "Damn right it is."
