Inside the Main Bedroom
Hela kneaded Baron Altross's shoulders, her fingers pressing into the tense muscles as she spoke.
"My Lord, are you sure he didn't come here by accident?"
Baron Altross let out a slow breath, his face dark with thought.
"Yes, I'm sure."
He leaned back in his chair, his fingers drumming against the armrest.
"There's a reason he's here. I've seen him before. He is some worthless nobody without presence. But now... now he looks like a lunatic. A madman."
Hela raised an eyebrow. "A madman?"
"His eyes were different," Altross muttered. "Cold, cruel, like he was sizing me up for the kill."
Hela scoffed. "Kill you? A mere piece of trash wants to kill you? You've fought in wars, commanded an army! What can some weakling do?"
Baron Altross let her words feed his ego, a smirk creeping onto his lips.
'She's right. Even if he wants to do something, what can he really do? There's no way he knows the truth. I was careful and didn't leave any loose ends.'
