Chapter 128 - Chapter 128

On the deck, a large group of short-legged creatures were lined up neatly, but unfortunately, their clothes were not uniform.

After Esmeralda assembled the troops, she approached Luke and reported, "General, the Hero Alliance has assembled and boarded the ship!"

Luke nodded and ordered, "The Hero Alliance, disband. You may move freely on the deck."

"Yes! General." Esmeralda took the order and left.

"Hmm?" Tony asked doubtfully. He was clearly curious about the name.

"Another one," Luke chuckled.

Tony looked puzzled.

He raised his head, looking at the tall and mighty War Lord in front of him, and said nonchalantly, "Seems like you've added something to it."

If there was anyone in this world who was extremely curious about War Lord, it was Tony, a fellow tech enthusiast.

Tony had a keen interest in all the advanced technology packed into the War Lord.

"You've got good eyesight. Why are you staring at me all day?" Luke rolled his eyes and spoke in a childish voice.

"The missiles you used last time—were they made by you? Do you have a production line?" Tony asked, hands in his trouser pockets, eyeing the closed hatch on War Lord's shoulder.

"It's the missile from Hammer Military's 'Ex-Wife,'" Luke replied.

"Ex-Wife? You actually used that thing?" Tony complained.

"Turns out it's pretty useful, isn't it? Otherwise, why'd you hide that night?" Luke smirked, hitting the nail on the head.

Tony shrugged noncommittally.

He no longer sold arms and had shifted his focus to energy. Hammer Military Industries, however, had become a leader in the arms industry and was reportedly landing major military contracts worldwide.

The two of them were enjoying the sea breeze, basking in the sun, and chatting casually. Not far away, the short-legged children were happily exploring the deck, accompanied by two aircraft carrier staff members.

On the bridge, Agent Hill stood behind Nick Fury.

"Sir, Iron Man and the Apostle have arrived. Black Widow has met Dr. Banner and is on the way. Coulson has also met the Captain," Hill reported.

The one-eyed Fury remained indifferent. "Got it."

"Sir, are you sure about keeping him on board?" Hill suddenly asked.

"Banner?"

"Yes, sir. You should know that if he turns into the Hulk here, the entire mothership will be destroyed," Hill said calmly. "I suggest activating that cage…"

"I have other plans," Fury interrupted her. "Restricting freedom isn't the best way. Hill, you need to learn about balance and utilizing external forces."

Hill frowned.

It wasn't that she didn't understand the principle, but as Fury's adjutant, it was her job to consider options that he might overlook.

Fury said calmly, "On this matter, I think someone else can give me advice. That little brat's got plenty of tricks."

With that, he turned and walked out of the bridge.

Luke and Tony were both called in by Fury. In a lounge, Fury laid out his request.

"You want me to develop an anti-Hulk plan?" Luke looked slightly surprised.

"Tony, you can also give your input," Fury said, looking at Tony with his one good eye.

Tony hesitated for a moment before saying, "My suggestion? Design an all-around, targeted anti-Hulk armor. No matter how strong a mutated body is, there's always a limit. As long as the armor is tough enough, it'll hold until the Hulk reverts."

Luke immediately snorted in disdain.

"Got a problem?" Tony frowned.

"I think you're dreaming," Luke shrugged. "From what I know, Dr. Banner hasn't shown any limit in his transformation into the Hulk. And in my opinion, there's no limit to anger. The angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes. Your so-called anti-Hulk armor has a limit. The Hulk doesn't."

"How do you know?" Tony clearly didn't like the harsh criticism.

"I just do." Luke retorted.

Seeing that the two were about to start another argument, Fury quickly stepped in. "We don't have time for this. We need something simple and effective."

"You don't ask for much, huh?" Luke glanced at Fury.

"This is about everyone's safety," Fury said firmly. "You don't want the Hulk rampaging through the ship, do you? But at the same time, we need him. You both know who the enemy is—a 'God.'"

Luke didn't argue this time. That 25-foot-tall green rage monster was definitely a problem.

Hulkbuster plan?

He did have one.

"I need adamantium. Real, pure adamantium. Not that knock-off garbage," Luke said suddenly.

"You have a plan?" Fury's expression shifted slightly, his one eye lighting up.

"Yeah," Luke nodded firmly.

"Alright, follow me."

Fury personally took Luke to retrieve the necessary materials.

Tony, too curious to miss out, tagged along to see what Luke had up his sleeve.

As the headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D., the helicarrier had everything.

In addition to combat departments, it had warehousing, transportation, training, scientific research, medical, and even prison facilities—all equipped with top-tier technology.

The helicarrier even carried a significant number of nuclear warheads. Calling it an aerial fortress wouldn't be an exaggeration.

When they reached a laboratory, Fury personally ordered all researchers to evacuate, leaving only him, Luke, and Tony inside.

"This is pure adamantium—extremely rare and valuable. What exactly do you need it for?" Fury gestured toward a sealed, specially structured container. "If it's something big, we won't have enough. And time is an issue."

"Don't worry, it's small," Luke assured.

He walked over to the container, stood on tiptoe, and peered inside. Yep, liquid adamantium.

"Give me a hand," Luke waved at Tony.

Tony rolled his eyes but walked over reluctantly. His curiosity got the better of him.

A while later, Hill also entered the lab, intrigued. So now, Tony, Fury, and Hill all watched as Luke worked.

Luke called Tony over for help from time to time.

After about half an hour, Luke suddenly snapped his fingers. "Done!"

"That's it?" Tony asked in confusion. He thought Luke was building some high-tech anti-Hulk device.

In front of them sat a square object, made entirely of real adamantium.

Just a simple rectangular block?

What kind of plan was this?

"What is this? Don't tell me this is some sophisticated nanotechnology." Tony frowned. "I don't see any advanced tech in this at all."

Fury also frowned. Though he remained silent, it was clear he was thinking the same thing. Was the little brat messing with them?

Hill's sharp eyes darted between Luke and the adamantium block, curiosity evident on her face.

Luke remained calm, chuckling as he said, "Repeat after me: Brick."
