Chapter 95 - Chapter 95

"Director Fury believes that we should create another bond with you to maintain mutual benefit and trust. We have fought a lot for you, especially Natasha. I hope you can understand our difficulties. What happened that day could have been avoided."

The good old man said, still smiling.

Luke had to admit that Coulson's smile had a kind of affinity that could make people relax their guard. If other people didn't know what kind of person Coulson was, they might have swallowed the sugar-coated bullet.

Luke remained silent.

He knew the trajectory of his life better than the nice guy himself.

So, the sugar coating stayed, and the bullets went wherever they came from. He wanted to see what the king of spies behind the scenes was up to.

"Then take that as your agreement," Coulson said with a smile. "Agent May will be in charge of contacting you."

Agent May came out from behind the tree with an unhappy look on her face. Luke had actually spotted her a long time ago.

Nick Fury and Coulson thought that women and children should be easier to communicate with. Moreover, May was Chinese, so she and Luke would have more in common, making her the best choice for a nanny and moral education teacher.

After finishing the business, Coulson didn't leave immediately. He seemed to want to get close to Luke.

Or maybe it was a task assigned by Nick Fury, as Coulson said a few incoherent words.

"Have you watched the news recently? There have been a lot of big things happening. The bureau is racking its brains over these incidents. The coma event in Queens, New York, which affected two million people, has not yet subsided. A few days later, there were cyberattacks that crippled the entire East Coast, followed by a power outage in New York. Trouble just keeps coming one after another."

Coulson sighed. "What the hell is going on in this world? There have been more strange occurrences lately than I can remember in the last few years."

Although he didn't say it outright, the "strange things" he referred to certainly included the unstable factor known as Luke.

Otherwise, he wouldn't be here.

Compared with the achievements of a super genius who was only seven years old, even Stark, who had grown up under the watchful eyes of S.H.I.E.L.D., seemed overshadowed.

After hearing this, Luke's face remained blank.

He looked innocent: Who am I? Where am I? Who is talking? You? What are you saying? Why can't I understand a word?

It was all Tokiomi's fault! Luke had already made up his mind.

"I heard that you're still in elementary school? If you want, we can transfer you to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. You should stay away from those early childhood curriculums that are a waste of your intelligence. It would be better for you."

Coulson changed the subject, smiling.

"Will you pay me?"

"Salary? Of course. If you can graduate from the academy and officially become a regular agent, S.H.I.E.L.D. will provide you with the best treatment. In addition to high salaries and extra bonuses, there are also a variety of hazard pay incentives."

Luke pouted. "Forget it. You can't afford my salary. What I do makes billions of dollars a minute."

"I remember in the last interview, you said it was 100 million," Coulson said with a smile.

Luke wanted to say: Damn, do you remember all this?

"Don't you want to reconsider?" Coulson pressed. "The S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy has produced many outstanding geniuses throughout history. There, your talents will be fully utilized."

"No, I'm enjoying myself right now," Luke refused.

Coulson smiled and didn't insist.

This task should be left to May.

Nick Fury agreed to send her, not just because of Coulson's strong recommendation, but also because he wanted May to help persuade Luke. Chinese people value relationships, and fellow countrymen are easier to talk to. Both Nick Fury and Coulson were old and shrewd.

Coulson said goodbye and left.

May stayed.

From beginning to end, Agent May had only said two words: "Yeah" and "Yeah."

Before Coulson left, Luke reminded him, "Don't forget, you still owe me 20 kilograms of adamantium." Luke clearly distinguished between public and private matters.

He agreed to let Agent May come over to add a pair of chopsticks just because he figured it would be easier to take food out of the mouth of the bald old man, and it was a long-term plan. Besides, there was already a watchdog—adding another nanny would at most squeeze in.

Coulson nodded. "It will be delivered tomorrow."

When she got home, Karen immediately asked, "Did Principal Coulson leave so soon? What did he want to see you about?"

"Good news, good news! Dawes Elementary School thinks I have excellent grades and has decided to award me a large scholarship. In addition, all miscellaneous fees are waived!" Luke said with a smile.

"Really? That's great!" Karen was delighted. Although the money wasn't much, it proved that Luke was exceptional and recognized by the school. She was proud and excited.

Since S.H.I.E.L.D. used the school's name to contact him, Luke had to find a chance to take advantage. He was never one to suffer a loss. Nick Fury must have been mentally prepared.

"Believe me, Karen, they won't refuse to give it to you," Luke said meaningfully as he glanced at the door.

May walked in.

"The bad news is that we may need a new pair of chopsticks at home. You guys can talk about the details. I'm going out first!" After Luke said that, he picked up his skateboard and ran out of the house.

It was none of his business what excuse May would use to explain the matter to his adoptive mother.

Agent May smiled at Karen.

She introduced herself as an after-school tutor for outstanding students at Dawes Elementary School. That was the cover story Nick Fury had already arranged.

It was Sunday, and when Luke arrived at the warehouse, Peter Parker was already there.

He trained Spider-Man for two hours as usual.

After training, Luke drove the food truck and took Spider-Man to sell burgers.

Peter Parker was a little confused and asked, "Man, are we short on money?" Spider-Man thought Luke just wanted to make money.

"Hey, man, think broad-mindedly. You have to remember: with great power comes great responsibility. Those people will die if they can't eat the burgers we make," Luke advised.

"No problem, man! I see what you mean."

So, the two seven-year-old dwarfs, one on top and one on the bottom, cooperated to drive the food truck out, leaving Sky stunned.

The Burger Nina Gourmet Hamburger Truck now had all the necessary business licenses, health permits, etc. The assistant had hacked into the New York government network, modified the file, and added a fictitious legal owner.

The U.S. doesn't have a business bureau, only an IRS. What's annoying is that they have to pay taxes on their hard-earned money! Luke often complained: Damn capitalism!

So, he was already considering getting Christina to embark on a hamster project.

"American banks have so many bad debts every year. If we carefully scrape out some of them to spend, it seems like it would be okay?"

In reality, with artificial intelligence, he could simply add a string of zeros to his account and say goodbye to the problem of lacking money.

But if he really did that, it wouldn't just be testing the edge of death—it would be outright courting it. Once he did something that challenged the world order, S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't come forward to protect him.

Praising the sun would be his only destination.

Just like Tony—it didn't matter whether he sold arms or toxic milk powder, as long as he made money. But if he dared to use J.A.R.V.I.S. to mess with the financial order, his father Howard Stark would be the first to jump up and strangle him.

"The biggest enemy of trouble is seeking death. Make sure to develop yourself quietly and play deaf and dumb." – Luke.
