Trick made a hurried race through the dense clouds of smoke, running with desperate strides as he went past wall upon wall of smoke. His swift motion all aimed towards his master's silhouette.
'It really is…' He took in heavy breaths, his eyes burning in slight irritation as he fixed them against his master's shadow.
He was not going to loose him, not again.
"Master!" His entire body trembled with excitement as he was now close enough to see the dark image of his master's flowing hair along with his signature top hat.
Everything seemed perfect—
Well, almost perfect.
Trick placed his hands against the shadowy silhouette, his heart leaping through nine clouds of joy as he finally stood just inches away from his master.
Or rather, what seemed to be his master.
Trick's eyes immediately widened in shock, his body beginning a frightened tremble and his heart sinking deep within his soul as his mind palpated with a dreadful realization.
