A hesitant voice rang out, drawing Layla's attention. She looked up, her gaze falling on the timid young man before her. His hair was so long that it completely covered his eyes. He kept his head down, exuding an air of gloom and caution, yet his back remained perfectly straight.
Layla's eyes swept over Leonard, her deep gaze carrying an almost piercing clarity as if she could see through anything. Finally, she nodded and said, "Wait for me in the meeting room with the others. Once I've gathered all the documents, I'll join you. It won't take long, so don't worry."
She spoke with the gentle care of an older sister.
Leonard pressed his lips together, gave a slight nod, and quickly left the office. Throughout the process, he never raised his head to look at anyone. His excessively long hair made people wonder how he could see the path ahead.
