Woosh!
A ghastly figure emerged from the ground; its figure looked like it was made of a shadowy cloak phasing in and out of reality that left a trail of fading wisps of smoke wherever it passed.
Its emergence attracted the attention of nearby pedestrians.
"Huh?" Somebody dressed in tattered black robes raised his eyebrow at the scene. "Is that wraith?"
Despite the lack of light in the area, the whole street was well dimly lit up due to the presence of luminescent street lamp posts. The golden lights of the lamps fell on the shadowy figure.
"Screech!" Upon coming in contact with the light, the figure let out a heart-wrenching cry. The figure started to flail around as if it had been lit up on fire until its eerie, hollow eyes fell on a ghoul nearby.
It was a man with a human-like appearance, but his body had deteriorated to the point that it looked decayed and darkened. His eyes were like sunken pits of shadows.
