"Huh!" Alvin uttered a blank exclamation, blinked at her several times, and repeated, "Huh?"
Vanessa chuckled at his reaction and turned towards the gates. She stepped forward and pushed the huge gates with a light tap, and much to Alvin's astonishment, those huge gates, ten times as tall and three times as thick as him, moved effortlessly.
"So this is the library, huh?" As soon as the gates opened, Alvin saw a cobblestone pathway leading ahead. It was no simple room; it was so wide that he felt that the entire house was not as big as the simple library.
Straight from the gate was a stone bridge that led them toward an elevated platform in the center of the hall. The entire library was well lit with several lights that were floating in the air, but much to Alvin's confusion, there was not a single book in there.
