They were walking towards a building that was partially buried in sand. Only the entrance was visible. The door itself was made of some sort of stone and was carved with two giant figures that were pushing it open.
If he had to guess they were the requiem, they had toothy mouths with a completely smooth head. Its body seemed to have a chitin-like exoskeleton rather than a bone and skin. Its hands and feet both had three appendages on them. Then there was the scarce amount of what appeared to be armor covering their bodies.
"The requiem?" Jace asked, mostly towards the admiral as they walked toward the pair of doors.
Around the doors were stone doorways that had carvings of something too detailed for him to be able to quickly decipher. But between the carvings and the door he could see the requiem words.
