Chapter 58 – The Ones Who Erase

---

Fleeing the Unseen Executioners

Luo Fan ran.

Behind him, the Enforcers moved without sound, yet their presence warped reality itself.

Every step he took felt slower—as if time itself resisted him. The streets stretched, curled, and twisted like a dying dream.

> "They're distorting the world," Xiao Ling said, her grip on his hand tightening.

Luo Fan's mind raced. These weren't normal enemies.

> They weren't trying to kill him.

> They were trying to erase him.

> "Okay, Boss, quick check—do you like EXISTING? 'Cause if you do, WE NEED TO FIX THIS."

Luo Fan gritted his teeth. "I noticed."

The Enforcers didn't run. They simply stepped forward—

And the space between vanished.

A hand reached for him.

Luo Fan jerked back, just as a fragment of his sleeve disintegrated into static.

> "Touch them, and you'll be erased." Xiao Ling's voice was tight. "No reincarnation. No second chances."

Luo Fan swallowed.

Even at his peak, he had never fought something like this.

A Gamble With Reality

They turned a corner—only for the road ahead to collapse into nothing.

A dead end.

> "Okay, yeah, things are officially TERRIBLE. We need a plan. Preferably one that doesn't involve dying."

Xiao Ling exhaled. "We can't fight them."

> "Wow, love the confidence! Super reassuring!"

Luo Fan shot a look at EchoStar. "If you have a better idea, now's the time."

> "I do! But you're gonna HATE it."

Luo Fan braced himself. "Spit it out."

> "…Give me full override control."

Luo Fan's breath caught.

Full override.

That meant letting EchoStar act freely—not just as his system, but as an independent entity.

The last time he had done that…

> The Reset happened.

> "…Uh, Boss? Clock's ticking."

Luo Fan glanced at Xiao Ling. "Can I trust you?"

Her eyes met his. A flicker of something—desperation. Hope.

> "…You already did once."

Luo Fan exhaled.

> "Do it."

EchoStar Unchained

The world flickered.

EchoStar's interface glowed, glitching between blue and black.

> [System Override Activated.]

[All Restrictions Lifted.]

For a moment, the Enforcers paused.

Then—

The entire world shattered.

The streets, the sky—everything broke into cascading light.

And suddenly—

They were somewhere else.

---

The Forgotten Echo

Luo Fan staggered. His vision swam.

> "PHEW! Okay! We are officially NOT deleted! Love that for us!"

Luo Fan forced himself upright. "Where are we?"

Xiao Ling hesitated.

> "…The Fractured Echo."

Luo Fan frowned. "What?"

She looked away.

> "The place where lost things go."

> "And where things that shouldn't exist… remain."

Luo Fan's breath slowed.

The Enforcers couldn't chase them here.

> "Soooo… small question."

EchoStar's voice was too casual.

> "WHY does Xiao Ling know about a place that shouldn't exist?"

Luo Fan turned to her.

> "Because I've been here before," she whispered.

And in the shifting light of the Fractured Echo—

Her form flickered.

And for a split second—

She looked like someone else.
