Everyone was happy seeing her agreement, and the atmosphere in the room became even more joyful. Nick, however, seemed oblivious to Ivanna's intentions, his smile never wavering as he chatted with the others.
But Ivanna's eyes never left his face, her mind racing with questions and her heart burning with determination to uncover the truth. She would find out what happened to him, and she would make sure that whoever was responsible would face the consequences.
As the meal came to a halt, Rachel also decided to stay for the night, as she would be alone at home and the kids would obviously be staying with their mother.
After dinner, the family relaxed in the living room, with Rachael, Lillane, Cavin, Claire, and Ivanna's father chatting and laughing together.
