SILVER'S ROOM.
Lorenzo sat on the plush carpeted floor, leaning his back against Silver's bed. The dim morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. His body ached from sitting in the same position for hours, his arm completely numb where Silver clung to him in her sleep.
But he didn't move.
He simply watched her.
Silver's face, despite the exhaustion from last night's events, looked peaceful now. Delicate features, long lashes resting against her cheeks, lips slightly parted.
Lorenzo sighed. She deserved peace.
Lost in thought, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. With his free hand, he pulled it out and glanced at the screen.
A video file.
His sharp gaze darkened as he played it.
The screen lit up with footage of a warehouse engulfed in flames, smoke billowing into the night sky. The fire was raging, consuming everything in its path.
Lorenzo's lips curled into a slow, handsome but dangerous smile.
