Samuel's POV

As I trekked across the scorched plains of the Southern Region, a chime echoed in my ears, followed by the familiar flicker of a system prompt appearing before me in glowing blue text.

I narrowed my eyes, but one name froze my breath.

Owen Yates.

My lips curled into a wry grin.

"Didn't expect to see that name pop up here."

In another life, Owen was the main character of a Dark Romance Novel—a brilliant game developer and designer, broken by betrayal.

But unlike the trash fire that was Abigail Bardot, his wife Yvette Jennings at least had some standards.

She didn't humiliate him with affairs or drag him through mud—she left him for her lover Randall, yes, but cleanly… legally. No drama. No games.

"At least she had the decency to end it before moving on… Unlike Bardot, who thought marriage vows were optional."

But if Owen Yates was in this world… then this wasn't just a coincidence.

"He might be like me—a transmigrator. Maybe even someone Henry and I knew in our old lives…"

My eyes lingered on the [Locked] quest.

"I'll figure out the truth when the time comes."

A breeze rustled through the tall, dry grass—and then, low growls.

From behind the rocks and ridges, figures began to emerge.

Three rogue beasts—massive, fanged, and twisted in form, their eyes locked onto me like I was tonight's hunt.

I exhaled slowly and rolled my shoulders. My knuckles cracked as I clenched my fists.

"Alright, time for action."

The land of the Southern Region was about to remember the name Samuel Gebb.

Southern Region – Scorched Ravine

Samuel's POV

The three rogue beasts charged through the cracked, barren terrain—massive, snarling creatures with bulging muscles and jagged bone spikes erupting from their backs. The lead beast, a sabertooth-like monster with molten lava dripping from its maw, roared so loud the earth trembled beneath my boots.

I clenched my fists, the Warden's Gauntlets flaring with crimson energy as they wrapped around my arms like living armor.

"Let's get this over with."

The first beast lunged, claws outstretched—

I activated Phantom Step, my body vanishing in a flash of distortion. I reappeared behind the creature mid-air, fist cocked back.

"Crimson Burst!"

My punch landed like a meteor.

The explosion ripped the creature's back open, and it slammed into the ground hard enough to crater the earth. Blood splattered. Its limbs twitched, spasming from the shock of the impact.

But the other two were faster. One lashed at me with its bladed tail. The other spewed a sickly green mist—poison.

"Shadow Dominion."

Tendrils of pure blackness erupted from the ground, intercepting the mist mid-air and forming a swirling shield around me. The shadows lashed back, wrapping around the tailing beast's legs, yanking it down.

I rushed the third one, my gauntlets glowing with dragonic energy.

"Dragon Fang Fist!"

My fist shattered its jaw, then I spun low and slammed my elbow into its gut—sending it flying into the cliff wall, shattering rock on impact.

The poison-beast screeched, flailing, breaking free of the shadows.

I summoned energy to my palm.

"Void Spear."

A translucent, glowing spear formed instantly—weightless, pulsing with spatial energy. I hurled it forward.

The spear pierced the beast clean through, ignoring its tough hide like butter. It screamed, gurgled, and collapsed in a heap.

Only the first was left—barely standing, blood gushing from its mouth.

It tried to run.

"Fury Overdrive."

Energy surged through me. My strength and speed skyrocketed. In seconds, I appeared above it—my gauntlets burning white-hot.

"Heaven's Execution!"

I brought my fist down in a brutal overhead strike.

The force was devastating. The earth split under the impact. The beast was crushed into the dirt, flattened, its body broken and twitchless. A shockwave rolled out across the ravine, flattening every tree and rock within twenty meters.

Everything fell silent.

I stood in the middle of the carnage, breathing steady.

My gauntlets hummed softly, their glow fading.

"That all you got?" I muttered, cracking my neck.

The Southern Region was only beginning to understand who had stepped into its lands.
