Chapter 5 - Clinic

The woman glared at Akira and slowly stood up; with a snap of her finger, the flames disappeared. "Not bad. We shall continue this another time." After stating that, she got on her chariot, and the two large cats pulled her away.

Akira stood there looking at her confused. 'Oh, come on,' he thought, but then everything went back to normal. He saw the pedestrians walking around him, but the destruction he had caused in the God's dimension was still there.

People were screaming for help as multiple buildings collapsed at once, and many people got badly injured.

People crushed by the crumbling buildings and even vehicles weren't safe. When a large jeep was hit by the bricks of a collapsing building, it exploded, causing even more chaos.

Akira stood there in a daze, staring at his hands. 'Did I cause all this?' he thought, looking around at the chaos, people screaming for their lives and more; it was all so overwhelming he couldn't handle it all.

Covering his head with his hoodie, he decided to just ignore it all and get the medicine his grandmother needed. That was the most important part; if he remembered correctly, that strange woman said there were organizations that deal with these types of occurrences.

He was going to let them handle it and just stay out of this new world he had just uncovered; it was all too much for him to handle, and the responsibility he had to carry felt suffocating.

Bzzzz, bzzzzz.

Glancing at his pocket, a smile of relief spread across his face; grabbing his phone, he saw the name of the caller. It was his mom; he quickly accepted the call.

"Akira, are you okay? I just saw you called multiple times." Ina asked with a worried tone.

"Don't worry, Mom, I'm fine." Akira assured her, "My GPS wasn't working properly; that's why I called you and Dad multiple times," he explained.

He heard a sigh of relief on the other side of the line, and he couldn't help but smile; he was truly glad he could hear his mother's voice once more.

"That's good, but make sure to eat properly and don't do anything stupid." Ina stated it, and Akira could vividly imagine how she was saying it.

The typical mom look with her hands on her hips, looking sternly with motherly affection.

"I will, Mom; don't worry so much. You better pay close attention to Sarah instead; make sure she isn't slacking off." Akira replied, chuckling.

Ina also smiled, looking at Sarah, who had heard everything and shouted. "Mind your own business!" Stomping off toward her room.

"I'll speak to you later then, Mom; I've almost arrived." With that, Akira ended the call, looking at the large medical clinic in front of him.

This was the reason he had come here, for his grandmother's medicine, all his worries melting away as he thought about his grandmother's condition. He inhaled sharply and exhaled slowly, entering the clinic.

Walking toward the reception, he greeted the receptionist. "Hello, my name is Akira Takahashi, and my father, David Takahashi, should have placed an order for pick-up." Showing his ID card, he explained his purpose for his visit.

The receptionist with a smile on her face took his ID card, inserting it into the computer. And replied, "The medicine you have ordered is almost ready; please take a seat in the waiting area over there, and you will hear your name being called when it's ready, sir." She explained, pointing toward an area where multiple people of varying ages were all seated.

Akira nodded, and after she handed him his ID card again, he took a seat in the waiting area. Leaning his head against the wall, he sighed.

'That was one hell of a day,' he thought as he remembered what had happened at sea in Japan. He had to come to terms with it; he was now a godslayer, whether he wanted to or not, he was one.

What had just transpired was clear proof of it; holding his head between his hands, he tried to calm his nerves. 'Why is this happening to me.'

He just wanted to take over his father's job and find a wife to start a small family with. But now it seemed his life was about to take a drastic turn.

If that was for the better or worse, only time would tell.

"Sir Akira Takahashi!" someone shouted into the waiting room.

Surprised, Akira jumped up. "That's me!" he shouted back.

The man who had been shouting his name sighed, walking over toward Akira with a package. "Pay attention, young man; I've called your name multiple times already," he scolded.

Akira awkwardly scratched his cheek. "I'm sorry, this is my first time traveling alone," he said.

The man handed Akira the package and patted his shoulder. "Don't worry too much and enjoy Rome," he said with a smile.

Akira nodded, and after thanking the man, he left the clinic tightly holding the package.

Entering his hotel, he quickly checked in; entering his room, he put the package on the desk and jumped straight onto the bed.

He lay there motionless, sighing, "Phew, I survived for now. And I have the package." He muttered, glancing at the package, and a smile appeared on his face.

He took his phone out of his pocket and sent a quick message to his parents, confirming he had the package and would take the plane in two days back home.

After that, he took a quick shower and was about to head to bed after a tiring day; lots of shit happened, and he was mentally drained.

But then he heard someone knocking on the door.

Grumbling, he walked toward the door and glanced through the peephole, and he saw a beautiful woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing an elegant blue dress that made her eyes pop out even more.

Akira stared at her for a while, not sure why she would be looking for him. 'No harm in opening the door,' he thought.
