Azrael ranks through the desert with Jane hoisted over his shoulder. The desert was absolutely drenched in the water from the rain, so each step was made more difficult by the wet sand, but Azrael had trained enough that he didn't have to worry about that!
Azrael put all of his effort into moving his legs and he managed to reach a top speed nearing thirty km/hr even with the wind and sand holding him back!
"Hold me properly! I'll stop the daemons behind you!"
Jane called out to Azrael as she pulled her sabers out and Azrael carried her in both hands so that her hands were free to attack any daemon that tried to sneak up on them!
Azrael's eyes searched the distance for any form of hideout.
They had been running for close to ten minutes already and Azrael was starting to feel tiredness creeping in.
They needed protection, not just from the daemons but also from the rain and wind.
If they stayed in a wet place with this rain, then they would likely wake up with a fever tomorrow.
