Chapter 4 - Revitalized

Agneil walked forward slowly, staring at the corpse that was held up by the iron spikes.

With another flick of his wrist, the spikes disappeared, leaving Sin to fall to the ground lifelessly.

"No Spirit Energy..." he mumbled under his breath, looking at the unconscious mercenaries scattered across the floor. "But his physical strength was inhuman."

He arrived at Sin's body, standing over it with a disgusting look on his face, "My beautiful armor... ruined." He couldn't help but feel a surge of anger muster up within him.

He gathered all of the saliva that he could at the point of his tongue, fully intending to spit it at Sin's body.

Just before his mouth opened, he noticed a slight twitch in the corpse's arm.

'Huh? Still clinging to life, huh? Pathetic scum!' he spat.

Before his spit reached Sin's body, the young man abruptly pushed himself up and kicked Agneil's legs out from under him.

"Ahhn!" Agneil let out a surprised moan as he tripped and fell onto his bum.

Sin rose to his feet, the fat young man's spit falling at his waistline.

He looked down, shocked. A warm feeling spread throughout his body, and the pain of his critical wounds had suddenly disappeared.

He remembered what he heard just a moment ago, but not clearly.

Just then, a golden bug appeared from the corner of his vision, flying around him as it poured down a small waterfall of golden liquid from its rear.

Sin's body was absorbing this liquid like he was some sort of sponge. The golden essence flowed throughout his body.

His arms, legs, stomach, back, and head were all revitalized with a refreshing boom of energy.

"H-how the hell..." Agneil looked like he had just seen a ghost, his face pale from the shock.

Sin stepped forward as the fat young man pushed himself back with his hands and feet.

"I don't know how I'm alive... but I definitely don't want to experience whatever that was again." Sin said with a low tone, wiping the spit off of his waist as he grabbed Agneil's fat cheeks and lifted him into the air.

"Argh! Get off of me, you scu--" Agneil attempted to move his wrist, but Sin quickly stopped it.

"Not again." Sin spoke with a furious undertone as his eyes seared into Agneil's.

With a twist, he pushed Agneil's wrist back and snapped it in half with a deafening crack.

"AHHGGHH!!" the fat young man let out an agonized scream.

"Don't cry yet. I'm just getting started!" Sin shouted, punching the fat ass square in the nose.

*CRUSH*

"ACKK!" Agneil exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief and dismay from the unbelievable pain.

"Please! Merc--" Agneil's words were cut short again.

Sin completely ignored him, "That wasn't enough to knock you out? Good..." He slammed the fat young man onto the floor, reaching back and unleashing a flurry of punches at his face.

By the end, Agneil was unrecognizable. In fact, he resembled a fruit more than a human.

Sin was panting, his breath hoarse with aggression and exhilaration, "This isn't enough... I'll kill you!" He reached his fist back one more time.

Agneil noticed this. 'Begging for mercy isn't an option. His physical strength is too much... I can't use my Spirit. He's really... going to kill me!'

With a last-ditch burst of energy, the fat young man fought through the pain and raised his broken wrist.

Sin gasped slightly as he saw this, his eyes expanding as his ears perked up.

A sharp noise of metal panged from the wall beside him. A large iron spike exploded out from the brick wall to his left, thrusting merely centimeters away from his head in a single second.

His head snapped back with force, the spike scraping across his forehead as he barely managed to avoid the devastating attack.

Although he managed to dodge the spike, this moment of surprise had loosened his grip on Agneil--letting him slip away.

The fat young man was surprisingly agile, already having bolted several meters away from Sin before he could even realize it.

Sin stood up, his legs prepared for action. However, a noise in his head stopped him.

[Forceful use of Spirit "Healing Bug" has worn off]

A message appeared in front of his retinas, floating in mid-air. It was a blue screen, slightly transparent with bright white lettering on it.

As soon as he heard this message, he felt a wave of pain and fatigue flush over him.

The golden bug had also disappeared, which he only now noticed, his adrenaline subsiding.

The large injuries from before were still there. Although they were mostly healed, they were still fresh enough to cause a blistering amount of pain.

Pain wasn't something that was unfamiliar to him, but this much was almost crippling to deal with.

"I can't chase him right now... I need to think with my brain, not my fists." He turned, limping over to one of the mercenaries on the ground.
