"It's quite a relief to hear that I at least have a chance to live, huh?" He was rather calm, his eyes serious as he looked toward the knight.
"Sorry to hurry things, but we have limited time here..." Suddenly, the knight fell silent before shouting, "Hey, we need him alive!"
Javohir was stunned—he could feel something sharp pressing against his back.
"Heard that?" He spoke in a firm, loud tone.
"Wow, wow—owww! Sis, you were right about him! Hahaha!" A voice came from behind him.
"Now, please.. take your fangs off my back..." He was referring to whatever was pressing against him. Though he was being sarcastic, calling it a fang, it turned out to be exactly that—one of the second intruder's fangs.
"Oh myyy, you heard that, sis? Does he have eyes on his back, or does he have a blessing like ours?" voice was till coming from his behind.
Javohir turned around, momentarily frozen in shock. His eyes widened as he took in the figure's face—it was definitely not human. Large, misshapen eyes, thick brown skin... yet, somehow, he didn't feel fear.
"Oh... you're quite a... 'unique' lady..." His eyes remained wide as he attempted to sweet-talk her.
"Awwww! You heard that, sis? He's not afraid of meeee!" she said excitedly—until a sudden hit from her 'sis' cut her off.
"You moron! Do you think we have time for chit-chat? The Supreme's portal is about to close!" The other one snapped, grabbing both Javohir and the unique lady.
"Hey, hey, heeyyy! Where are you taking me, you naughty lady? I'm not mentally prepared for tha—ouch!" Javohir yelped as he got smacked for running his mouth.
"Allowing you to call me 'gorgeous lady' doesn't mean you can say whatever you want," she said, her tone far more serious than he expected.
Yet, despite everything happening before his eyes, he still held onto hope that he survives.
It was too dark to tell where they were, but he could at least sense they were walking inside the house. Though he was being carried by the knight, he felt no fear. It wasn't that he wasn't worried about his life, but for some reason, even after seeing that monstrous face, he didn't sense any danger from them.
Suddenly, they stopped moving, reaching a certain room. Silence filled the space.
A voiceless, pitch-black room—ordinarily enough to make Javohir die from heart attack. But with these two beside him, Javohir felt strangely calm. He even found himself smiling.
Just as he expected, she suddenly threw him to the ground and ordered, "Don't move."
"Here's the injection. Show me your neck..." She held something in her hand, preparing to inject him.
Javohir didn't even think about resisting. Without hesitation, he exposed his neck to the knight who had just threatened him seconds ago.
"If it's from your hands, I'm ready to sip poison after all." He smirked, at her. And of course got harder punck this time.
As he was injected with something, he didn't feel anything wrong with his body and didn't ask what he was injected with right now. After a while he just fell unconscious to the ground.
