Ed didn't understand what he heard but he knew that he could recall exactly what the man had said.
He would die if he didn't make it out of this first quest? And it wasn't the only one. If it was the first quest, then that meant that there were other quests to follow.
He turned sideways and stared at the Baron whom he knew had been standing beside him since, even though he had ignored his eyes.
"I thought I would be kicked out if I wasn't successful in the first quest, why am I hearing a different thing entirely?" He wanted to ask but noticed he couldn't.
None of the other students seemed perturbed by what had been said like he was. He looked in Abel's direction and he didn't seem bothered at all as well. Each had this confidence as if they hadn't heard what he did.
So he kept quiet. His torn clothes were already embarrassing enough, if he were to interrupt and call attention to himself, he would be causing an unnecessary embarrassment to himself.
