The Ross and Underwood procession arrived at the gates of the Underwood manor just as the sun kissed the horizon, preparing for its descent.
Unlike the other grand manors of wealthy noble families they'd seen on the way, the manor was not overly lavish, but there was no denying that it was elegant in its own way.
It was a well-built stone residence with ivy creeping up its outer walls, wide courtyards, and polished wooden doors. It looked like it had seen several generations of Underwoods without having the overindulgence of unnecessary splendor.
Ren took a deep breath, stepping down from the carriage.
The estate was more… conspicuous than what he had expected, yet it did not scream excess.
Lilith, standing beside him, was just as appreciative.
"This is my first time seeing it too." She admitted, her voice tinged with wonder. "I was never allowed to leave Underwood lands before."
Ren turned to her, surprised. "Not even for visits?"
