Ren didn't know how fast three days could pass until his break ended. It seemed too short a break before what he'd dubbed the final battle in the privacy of his mind.
But at the end of the day, it didn't matter. The time for waiting had ended. Tonight, Thorn and Ren would cut off the final head of the hydra.
While the inner city was much quieter than the outer city, it was much easier to sneak around. This was due to the fact that while the outer city had more patrolling guards, the inner city relied on the home owner's personal guards.
The nobles and rich merchants did like their privacy.
While the streets were bathed in the light of the street lanterns, Ren and Thorn moved through the dark present on the rooftops. While guards guarded the properties around them, they rarely looked up.
Before long, they got to their destination.
