Searching for Valerian through the looking mirror proved impossible. After all, he was a grim—and he had erased every trace of any means for us to find him.
But then, I sensed a strange, concentrated energy emanating from a distant corner of the werewolf realm. Without Xelvorn's knowledge, I made my way into their realm, compelled by the need to investigate.
What I found there was chaos. A horde of mutated creatures, similar to the ones that had attacked Zephyrine, roamed the place. They looked ravenous, wild, and then suddenly they turned on each other, tearing into each other's flesh like starving beasts.
I hid, watching. A familiar laugh echoed through the madness, and Valerian emerged. The creatures' suffering and fighting seemed like entertainment to him. I should have known. He was behind the pills, behind all of it.
