MAXIM'S POV
Why are you still asleep, Alpha? This is unlike you to do. You wake up once and never go back to sleep.
My eyes immediately snapped open at the sound of my wolf's voice. I blinked and looked around me in confusion— I was still in bed. At that, I sat up and rubbed my face, getting rid of any form of sleep left in my system. I dropped my hands and with furrowed eyebrows, I looked around me. I glanced to the side and found a bump underneath the thick blankets, then I remembered Amaya shared a bed with me.
I pushed away the blanket covering my legs and moved toward the edge of the bed. I sat there, elbows resting close to my knees and fingers laced. I stared at the floor in more confusion as I tried to make sense of why I had fallen asleep after I had woken up earlier on. Also, I could have sworn that I had woken up and left the bed.
"What is wrong with me?" I muttered under my breath.
