I fix my eyes on the third reflection as I try to call out to him, "Henley…? Is it… really you…?"
As he hears me, he tardily raises his head and opens his eyes. Lights seep into his turquoise blue eyes and glisten in them, even the raindrops look bluer when they fall in front of him.
I have not seen those beautiful turquoise blue eyes for a long time. Yet when I feel thrilled to see them again, I find their colour begins to fade——In a few seconds, they turn dim and cloudy. Even when his eyes remain open, light does not seem able to reflect in them.
Through the reflection in the window he lays his dismal glare on me. In a dispirited voice he asks, "Who are you…?"
Into the rain I dash. I run towards the window and lay my palms over the cold glass surface where I can see Henley, "It's me! It's me, it's Aletris…!"
