"Silly…" in his tenderest tone Oliver says to me, "This is the reason I never told you about this. I neither want to upset you, nor want you to worry about a single bit of it. And…" gently he pulls me close and wraps his arms around my body, "I didn't want you to think less of me."
He fondles my head as I lean my face on his chest. I can hear his heart thudding as he confesses to me. I can tell from his heartbeat, what he means is real. Now that it finally comes into the light, the fact that both of us are actually afraid of the same thing… It eventually makes me realise that Oliver cares for me as much as I do for him.
"Aletris." softly, in my ear Oliver whispers, "I really hope what happened today won't affect the relationship between us. I hope you can trust me, and still see things between Layla and me occur in a platonic way."
As I listen to Oliver, I raise my head and look up at his gentle emerald eyes, "But…"
