It was just one step.
That was all it took.
Heuk Cheon had suddenly disappeared from his spot, his blade was slicing through the night.
And a short moment later, he was already standing right in front of Wu Jian.

Wu Jian was able to block the attack with his fan, his golden eyes was glowing with interest. "Well. That was quite rude."
Heuk Cheon simply grinned at him. "Pardon, I am not in the mood for pleasantries."
Wu Jian's fan had flicked outward, it was releasing a sudden burst of energy that managed to force Heuk Cheon back a couple of steps. "Then let us speak more… physically."
The air had changed.
And just like that, their battle resumed.
As the two warriors were clashing, Seo Ryung turned around to face the others.
"We are not running." His voice was steady. "This is our home."
Jin Mu had grinned at him. "You took the words right out of my mouth."
Ji Seol-Hwa had nodded in agreement with them. "Then let us make sure that they do not take it from you."
