Heuk Cheon had taken a single step forward. "You are in my way."
The air had grown even colder. The figures did not flinch.
Heuk Cheon's smirk had just sharpened. "If you are not going to move.."
He had his sword in his hand.
Seo Ryung barely even saw it.
A single slash, it was so fast it left an afterimage.
One of the figures had suddenly vanished. There was no scream. No resistance. Just gone.
The others did not dare to move. They were only whispering.
"Too late."
"It is waking."
"The bloodline cannot be severed."
The ground was shaking violently.
Ji Seol-Hwa had cursed. "What now?!"
Seo Ryung did not answer. His eyes were locked onto something that was behind the figures, it was the end of the tunnel.
It was a massive stone doorway. Covered in chains.
And beyond it…
There was a heartbeat.
Though, it was slow. Deep.
Something was going to wake up.
Heuk Cheon had merely clicked his tongue. "Tch. There always has to be something, isn't it?"
