As the Murim warriors were making their moves around the Redwood Estate, the orphans had been watching them carefully.
Dae-hyun, one of the younger kids, had frowned. "Do we actually need them to be here? I just thought that we were doing fine on our own."
Ae-rin, the quiet but giftedly observant girl, had replied back to him, "It is not about us needing them. It's about control for them."
Seo Ryung had walked up to the small group of orphans. "Ae-rin is right. The Murim Alliance still doesn't trust Master Heuk Cheon. That's why they're here."
Chul-woo's face had scrunched up. "But that does not make sense at all. Master Heuk Cheon isn't our enemy."
Seo Ryung let out a sigh. "To us, he is not. But to the Murim Alliance? He's a bit of a wild card. And people in power hate what they can't control."
The kids looked at each other, they were uncertain.
Then, a deep voice spoke behind them.
"That's why you all have to get stronger."
