Jack opened his computer. To the associations official website. He enlisted himself as a carrier for a b-rank squad. All he would have to do is do some camouflage to chip in on some of the monsters to get their experience, easy as pie. Although, it didn't quite go as expected.
Jack kept the introductions short. He said his name. And didn't even bother to remember the names of the rest of the party, although they were all in pretty gaudy clothing, especially the ones who had melee weapons, he didn't quite understand why. He was never a fan, even in video games.
The heavy load of gear wasn't exactly hard to handle. But the pack weighed him down quite a bit. During monster encounters, he would have to sneakily drop it, camouflage, and then chip in on the monsters. Which would be hard not to notice. While he thought to himself, he noticed something, something the hunters seemed to ignore.
'Are these guys idiots? A single monster hasn't shown up in almost 10 minutes. That either means they're all huddled up in the boss room, or something killed them all.'
The hunters chatted with each other. Barely even noticing a thing. While Jack stared down the path.
'It's dark. Not lit enough. They seem to think whatever's coming they can deal with. Perfect conditions to be ambushed. What a group to put the entire world on their shoulders. But time will tell.'
Jack sighed and continued following. The main tank was tall, burly, and wore armor that looked like it was weighing him down completely, if there was a creature strong enough to break the armor, he'd be dead in an instant. Hopefully, that would stay an if.
Jack could really only have negative thoughts in his mind, the tanks relied on the mages, the support, for buffs, for heals. It was a bit pathetic in his mind. He did everything for himself. Although he had an unfair advantage.
'Is it unfair for me to set the highest of standards for the defenders of earth? What good is a utopia if it will fall in the face of weakness. Although peace may have been achieved domestically within earth. There's no negotiating with the angels.'
He could sense their power. Compared to that S-Rank, they were horrifically weak. Jack wasn't really sure how strong he was. At this point he had leveled up to around level 15 with the experience he got from the monsters.
'At least I'm leveling up fast. I'm not sure how long this crowd will keep standing.'
At the time they entered the boss room. He had reached level 20. And was feeling a stagnant drop in leveling. It was only natural although it happened much faster than it did in his original world.
They reached the two giant doors. And were greeted by what seemed like an endless darkness. A pool of water beneath their feet. Nothing could be seen. But the slight gust of wind could be heard.
"…that's odd, a dungeon can't have wind, there's no gaps in a dimensional rift…"
The main tank was the first to speak. And was the first to be taken. Vanished into thin air. With only a swift black shape being noticed.
