Chapter 11 - Chapter 11. The Wines

For the first time, the workers beheld their master's wives up close, and they were entranced by their ethereal beauty. It was abundantly clear why their stunning master had chosen these four remarkable women to share in her life.

Olivia von Ashburn, the first wife and the younger sister of Marquis Ashburn, radiated a mature beauty that captivated all who gazed upon her. The passage of time had bestowed upon her a refined elegance, softening the once sharp angles of her youthful visage into a harmonious display of grace. Her skin shimmered with a radiant, healthy luster, a testament to the vibrant lifestyle she led within the lush confines of the estate.

The youthful plumpness of her lips had matured into a sculpted, sensual pout, expertly accentuated by a delicate touch of cosmetics. Her dark, lustrous hair fell in gentle waves, framing her face in a captivating cascade that celebrated her femininity.

"You make wine in a day?" she inquired, her voice rich with wonder as she turned to Sienna-Rose.

"Yes, I'm using magic," Sienna-Rose replied, her tone imbued with a hint of pride.

Next, there was Claire Bishop, the second wife, renowned as the most celebrated actress in Erebus Citadel. Her features possessed an otherworldly quality that drew admiration from all corners. Claire's porcelain skin glowed with a luminous radiance, as if lit from within by an inner fire. High, sculpted cheekbones lent her face an air of regal sophistication, while her full, sensuous lips, adorned with a subtle rose hue, invited the lightest of kisses.

Yet, it was Claire's mesmerizing eyes that truly held the onlookers captive. They were large and expressive, framed by thick, dark lashes that cast delicate shadows across her cheeks. Their hue was a captivating blend of emerald and azure, shifting like the shimmering depths of a kaleidoscopic sea.

"That's a huge barrel, dear; are you alright?" Claire asked, her concern palpable. She knew Sienna-Rose's strength as a sorceress was formidable, yet she also understood the limitations that came with such power.

"I'm fine; I'm stronger than you thought, really," Sienna-Rose assured her, a confident smile playing on her lips.

"Are you saying that you're stronger after you were almost dead?" Sophia asked softly, her voice laced with concern.

Sophia Davies, Sienna's third wife, possessed a youthful beauty that captivated all who beheld her. As the daughter of a prominent merchant, she carried herself with an air of refined elegance, her features exuding a fresh, vibrant glow. Her flawless skin radiated a natural, healthy luminescence that seemed to emanate from within, illuminating her delicate features.

High, sculpted cheekbones and a pert, slightly upturned nose lent her face a subtly regal quality, while her full, rose-petal lips were ever-so-slightly parted, hinting at a playful, inviting nature. Her hair, a soft cascade of pink waves, framed her face beautifully, enhancing both her allure and charm.

"Much stronger, very strong. You don't have to worry about me," Sienna- Rose insisted, but her four wives exchanged glances, their disbelief evident.

"But I don't want you to come back home dying again. That's not good for us; you have four wives, remember," Haley interjected, her concern palpable yet laced with a gentle urgency.

"I remember that I have four wives," Sienna-Rose replied, her smile warm and reassuring.

Finally, Sienna's gaze fell upon Haley von Campbell, her fourth and youngest wife. Haley embodied a captivating innocence that was truly enchanting. As the daughter of a lesser baron, she moved with a natural grace and poise that belied her humble origins.

Her delicate features were youthful and radiant, with porcelain skin that glowed with a healthy, ethereal luminescence. High, sculpted cheekbones and a slight, pert nose endowed her face with an almost angelic quality, while her full, rosy lips were ever-so-lightly parted, hinting at her gentle, inquisitive nature.

Haley's golden hair cascaded in soft, flowing waves, framing her face in a manner that was both alluring and endearing. The way her hair tumbled over her shoulders and down her back evoked a sense of youthful charm, a striking contrast to the understated elegance that radiated from her every movement.

Sienna-Rose then led the four women into the winery's administrative office, gesturing for them to have a seat on the plush sofa. She turned to Aiden, her trusted assistant, and instructed him to serve them the new wines.

"Get the rose one first, Aiden," Sienna-Rose said, a hint of excitement in her voice.

"Rose?" Olivia asked, her brow furrowing slightly in confusion. The eldest of the wives, she was accustomed to the more robust, traditional wines the estate had produced in the past.

"You'll see, my dear," Sienna- Rose replied with a smile, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Aiden carefully poured the delicate, pale pink liquid into the waiting glasses, the color akin to the soft blush of freshly bloomed rose petals. The wine caught the light, almost appearing to glow with an ethereal, translucent quality.

"Wow," Sophia and Haley murmured in awe, their eyes wide as they took in the unexpected hue.

"That's a wine?" Claire asked, a hint of skepticism in her voice. As the renowned actress, she was more familiar with the bold, full-bodied varietals typically associated with the noble houses.

Sienna-Rose picked up her glass, swirling the rose-colored liquid gently. "Give it a taste," she encouraged, her tone brimming with confidence.

The four wives each brought the glass to their lips. The flavors unfold gracefully on their palates; the first impression is one of delicate sweetness, the Grenache grapes lending a subtle, almost honeyed character to the wine. This initial burst of fruity charm is quickly followed by a refreshing acidity that dances across the tongue, cutting through the sweetness and creating a harmonious balance.

The strawberry mix infuses the wine with a luscious, ripe berry essence that heightens the fruitiness. The strawberry notes mingle seamlessly with the Grenache's natural red berry tones, creating a symphony of flavors that is both elegant and indulgent.

There's a silky, almost velvety texture to the wine as it glides across the palate, enveloping the senses in its delicate embrace. The finish lingers pleasantly, with a gentle warmth and a delightful, vibrant freshness that leaves the workers yearning for another sip.

The rose's color, too, seems to shimmer and come alive as it's held up to the light, the pale pink hue shifting and reflecting the surroundings, adding to the overall captivating experience.

Sienna-Rose watched intently, gauging their reactions. "What do you think?" she asked, a hint of pride in her voice.

"By the heavens, this is the first time I've tasted a wine as exquisite as this," Olivia exclaimed, her voice tinged with genuine awe. "Even the wines served at noble feasts cannot compare to this delightful wine we have here."

Claire leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "How can a wine be this good and sweet?" she marveled, swirling the glass in her hand as if to uncover its secrets. "It's almost too perfect to be real."

Haley clapped her hands together, her youthful enthusiasm shining through. "I can taste the strawberry in it!" she said, her delight infectious. "It's like a sun-kissed summer day captured in a glass!"

Sophia, contemplating her glass with a thoughtful gaze, chimed in, "If we can market this properly, it's bound to be a fortune. Just imagine the demand for such a delicacy." Her mind raced with possibilities, envisioning the lavish gatherings where this wine would reign supreme.

Sienna-Rose, radiating pride at their reactions, grinned broadly. "And that's only the rosé wine! I still have three more red wines and two whites waiting to be tasted. Let's not keep ourselves in suspense!"

With a wave of her hand, she beckoned Aiden. "Bring the others in sequence," she instructed, her excitement palpable. Then, turning to Simmons, she added, "Simmons, get the cheese plate. We can't enjoy such a fine wine without the perfect accompaniments!"
