Before the guide could respond, a soft knocking sound was suddenly heard from Cedric's room door. The knocks were quick and orderly, as if seeking attention while maintaining a polite distance. Cedric raised his eyebrows and turned, directing his gaze towards the finely carved wooden door.
"Who's there?" Cedric's voice sounded firm, yet showed no signs of excessive alertness.
From behind the door, the servant's voice was heard cautiously, as if afraid to disturb. "Excuse me, Sir, I would like to inform you that you must prepare for the welcoming party immediately."
Cedric sighed softly, he glanced towards the window, the sky outside had turned a golden orange. Time passed faster than he thought.
"Thank you for letting me know," he said briefly. "I'll go there in a few minutes."
The maid outside the door looked hesitant for a moment before finally replying, "Okay, sir... If you need anything, I'll get it ready right away."
